Re: Fallen Leaves & Broken Clocks

I feel you've captured a feeling of mono no aware very well, and they both exhibit impressive amounts of gaman . I had a strong emotional response to this, going to take me a while to pin down why though. I had to look up what those things were but feelings of impermanence and perseverance through ...

Chris' Saki One Shots

Index Fallen Leaves & Broken Clocks (You are here) - Time ticks by quickly, even if it's not always the same amount. A Conversation on the Roof - In which Miki gives Saki a reality check. Almost Home For Christmas in a different thread - Saki and Hisao's first Christmas. Starring busy parents, a...

Re: Yamaku Book Club (20180924 Sherlock Hisao)

I'm pretty sure she is? Who do you think is Hikari's mother? I'm inclined to agree with it calling attention to her mother's scars and her trying to hide them. Honestly this more makes me curious whether the father is Hisao all it talks about is him being in the hospital. Someone who is clearly Lil...

Re: Yet another one-shot thread

This was an interesting one and I hesitate to ask but... are you going to run with the OT3 thing or is it going to be a couple and a best friend?

Re: In Which I have been reading too much Raymond Chandler

To this day no one really knows what happened to Miki. There are theories of course but as Kenji Setou can tell you there are theories within theories.

Okay that aside this was a nice piece. I enjoyed it.

Re: Learning To Fly - A Saki pseudo-route (Act 3 Completed 8/20)

My girlfriend who did not play KS read this at my recommendation. I'm here to say on her behalf to say she's really enjoyed it thus far.

Re: Yamaku Book Club (20180924 Sherlock Hisao)

Now I like random humor, I find it genuinely funny a large portion of the time. But I really couldn't make heads or tails of it since even as joke versions of the characters, the only character identifiable by way of actions was Kenji.

Re: Learning To Fly - A Saki pseudo-route (Act 3 Completed 8/20)

I also don't really see why her desire to live life to the fullest should contradict a wish to marry. For many "becoming a parent" is one of the greatest experiences there is, period. Whether it is for Saki... I'm honestly not sure. Leaving aside the idea that marriage is a prerequisite t...

Re: Yet another one-shot thread

Personally OT3s are not my thing and I'm not sure I can see Hisao okay with sharing someone he was with but that's just my headcanon and the emotional stuff of this oneshot and Miki's past were very well done. Fearing about becoming a parent you can't stand is a very real and common fear for many an...

Re: Learning the blues. Act 3: Scene 2 revives from the grave

Considering the last update was a little over two years ago, I doubt this will be finished but I still want to say this was an excellent work that I greatly enjoyed reading. You gave all your characters distinct personalities and interesting developments. This was a great piece of work.

Re: Gravity-Molly pseudo route [09/07/16]

I started reading this awhile ago but got side tracked by something else at the time, something unimportant like dinner probably. Since I had to call in sick today I sat down and read the whole thing and I gotta say, it's excellent. I like your characterization of all four of your main cast. And I'm...

Re: Dancing: A Miki pseudo-route (Update 7/30/17)

Apologies for taking forever to update. I've been dealing with some pretty heavy stuff recently, including suicidal depression. I'm getting better though. I can't guarantee any updates soon, but I'm not letting go of this project either, so hopefully I'll do something soon. Maybe. I know I'm new to...

Re: Flutter - Level Twenty One: Footsies [25/3/17]

Well I binged this in the course of... 8 hours? Maybe? I love your takes on Rika and Hisao. I've read three non-nihilist Rika's at this point and can firmly say I like her better that way. At least for long term involvement in the story. I think this is the most unique take on the Iwanako reunion th...
