Number 3 PC game and number 11 overall. This is where the opposition is going to get very stiff now though. It would be difficult for any game to wrangle number 10 away from Pokemon Black. If Katawa Shoujo can do it would be amazing!

I haven't gotten most of the endings yet, but from what I have played it's definitely Shizune's bad ending so far. Hisao is actually a terrible person and has sex with Shizune's best friend. Then Shizune blames herself for being a bad boyfriend and bad friend. Hisao just sort of nods and walks away....

But I'm talking about a game based on female characters who have solely mental problems; say, a girl with disassociative identity disorder who could flip between a few different personalities in one date. I downloaded the demo that was released last year on a recommendation from posters from GameFAQs Current Events board. I never got around to even playing it though, and sort of forgot about it until I saw CE talking about the full release. Now I'm obsessed.

I haven't brought it up to anyone yet. I have sone friends I would mention it, some I might even be able to get into it. I also have a Katawa Shoujo picture as my background for my laptop and phone.

What do you think the chances are of Katawa Shoujo winning at least mainstream Game of the Year award?

I can't seem to strike a proper and reasonable balance between Katawa Shoujo withdraw and Katawa Shoujo burnout.

I wasn't very excited about Shizune as a character or a love interest for Hisao, but as I think about her route she grows on me. I'll have to replay her route to get a better perspective.

I don't think Rin is difficult to understand. I think she's more random than anything. She says whatever comes to mind, even if it's only tangentially related to the conversation and seems to be less linear. It's not hard to understand her for the mosy part if you just follow along.
