Re: I wanna help! In a related yet unrelated way!

Easiest way would be to use the Web Access link on the blog page. If you want something more substantial (an actual client), you can try Chatzilla for Firefox, mIRC, or Pidgin.

Re: Hisao's name is ironic?

What about the others though? Do they have any special meanings to their names? Some American dude that lived in Japan for 3 years made a thread here detailing what he found odd about the character's names. But for the life of me, I can't find that damned thread. Someone help me out here. Found it....

Re: Katawa Shoujo Act 1 Preview feedback thread

I think one thing that people have overlooked in the case about student/teacher familiarity is the fact that Yamaku is a boarding school . I went to one for high school where everyone lived on campus, students and faculty alike. I got to know a few of my teachers on a very personal level, and when I...

Adorable. Your style reminds me of Noizi Ito. Lilly looks a little off balance, but otherwise, I love them!

Re: Katawa Shoujo Act 1 Preview feedback thread

A couple of points. #1 - Stop asking us to clarify Shizune/Misha. As Aura/A22 have said, you aren't supposed to be able to tell the difference. I thought the fact that us saying that repeatedly would have clued you off to the fact that it was imporatant to the rest of the game, but we don't want to...

Re: Rin.

Anyone else think Rin's mural reminded them of Picasso's Guernica ? Minus the horse head and stuff. Yes, but while it's definitely in the expressionist style, I wouldn't specifically cite Guernica. If you want to stick with Picasso, I'd suggest that it borrows more from Les Demoiselles d'Avignon. I...

Re: "climatic rape yuuko" (no, it's not)

I personally love it because it reminds me of Pixel's work (Cave Story). Or maybe it was just from the remix project? Either way, that style looks awfully familiar in terms of color palette and the way the character is rendered.

Re: Questions & Answers

Another good book that may be tangentially relevant to KS is Black Swan Green (NYT book review, since Wikipedia is uninformative). A nice coming of age story that's been called by someone as a British "Catcher in the Rye" (Haven't read Catcher myself, so I can't back up the comparison). Th...

Well, she's already a leg-oriented artist, how do we add "martial" to that?

It's a good book. Think Robinson Crusoe or Swiss Family Robinson only more geared toward young adults.

Re: H-Scenes and Hisao

I'm more familiar with "press x to not die" from Zero Punctuation, but going onto TVT evokes a bad case of wikipedia syndrome. I saw a name for it somewhere, but I don't remember what it was. You all know what it is, though, and I will leave it at that. http://xkcd.com/214/ We've all been...
