Re: Yamaku Book Club (Now Reading: Closure)

I'm willing to say, without qualifications, that this is one of the best works posted here. Why? It is because the characters in this story are actually "better" characters than their KS counterparts. (Ok, put down the pitchforks for a second  ). Now, what I mean by "better"...

Re: Akira Pseudo-Route [Complete!]

A fitting denouement.

As for the story as a whole, I'm glad I found this when I did. Well done Thanatos. No one can take this accomplishment away from you.

Re: Journey of a Non-otaku

I swear to fuck, if I have to sit through one more "Who Shot Phil" period this christmas, I will shoot phil myself Now Im going to have Coronation Street's theme stuck in my head every time Lilly is brought up. (Watched one episode; it's syndicated in Canada. One episode was enough for me...

Re: Journey of a Non-otaku

Well, there's this thread.

EDIT: As for the current topic, the Emi route was the first one that I went through. After the manly picnic. Somewhat cringe worthy at times, but was fairly good.

As for the Lilly route, it is definitely a different tone than the rest of the routes.

Re: Yamaku Book Club (Now Reading: Closure)

It's been a while since I've read Closure, so I am up to reading it again. Might catch a few things I didn't notice the first time.

Re: Developments (Post-Lilly Neutral End) - Chapter 41 up 5/

Well, I've read through it all. What a roller-coaster. You've got some talent dewelar. The whole time I felt like there was background music that signified moving on, but was upbeat in some areas and downbeat in others (Crimson did capture that with his music). At first, the thing that bothered me a...

Re: Do blind people actually touch people's faces?

I haven't met a blind person in my life; I have only seen them walk by. I can only imagine that deaf-blinds would benefit from 'lip-reading.' Otherwise, I would assume it would just be for gestures or affectionate contact. @Kutagh That's unfortunate about the transit system there. The RFID system fo...

Re: Journey of a Non-otaku

Yeah, I look forward to reading it after I'm done with the canon stuff, because it seems pretty funny. A little bit redundant though. I mean, Emi in Wonderland? I already thought her body is a wonderland. I'm so sorry Real question though... can you be otaku if you're really into the sub-culture, b...

Re: Journey of a Non-otaku

Cripple-wonderland... like Alice in Wonderland? That'd be an interesting book. Basically Katawa Shoujo on an acid trip. Actually, I think it sums up a good chunk of reactions people have after playing KS for the first time. Altered senses, psychological changes (the "feels"), separation o...

Re: Yamaku Book Club (Now Reading: The Fireman)

Well, I was surprised how good the story was even with the lack of character development from the OC protagonist, Ryuichi Hamada. That tells me the plot worked well enough under the circumstances. Keeping a state of disbelief wasn't too hard, though the story had a couple of head scratching moments ...

Re: Does Hanako have Borderline Personality Disorder?

The Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (DSM) criteria isn't the only thing that garners evidence to a diagnosis.

That being said, the answer is no.

Re: Yamaku Book Club (Now Reading: Terror in the Night!)

@Mahorfeus You... you aren't serious, are you? Also, I have that DVD. I only needed to watch that movie once. That was enough for a lifetime. The fridge... sheesh. This reading has also got the song Thriller stuck in my head, followed by Werewolves of London. In that order. @Mirage_GSM Yeah, I read ...

Re: Yamaku Book Club (Now Reading: Terror in the Night!)

You all may begin Also there are now bears, I totally wasn't wrong. That should supply the “bear” necessities. Anyway, I thought that the writing was campy, which is a good thing in this case. I like it when stories like these do not take themselves too seriously. I was glad that th...
