Re: There's a "Nice Boat" In Katawa Shoujo

Suddenly, an explosion! A shark piloting a T-Rex with a rocket launcher swooped up from the explosion and gave Kenji a good ol' fashioned Bro Fist. The shark and T-Rex both took out their electric guitars and shredded the most orgasmic music one could ever hear, all while on fire. Kenji drifted awa...

Re: Commentary about each music track (as promised)

Oh, you mean THAT kind of compression, not none of this "loudness war hard-limiting" crap. Made me worried there for a sec! :P Thanks for the clarification.

...still though, replaygain WOULD be easier and quicker :P (if time is of importance that is)

Re: Commentary about each music track (as promised)

Why not? Compression just weakens the dynamics.

Re: Commentary about each music track (as promised)

About the inequality of volume, wouldn't it be better to use something like replaygain instead, seeing that normalization doesn't always give equal results? Since Ren'Py doesn't support replaygain natively (I think), the only way to have this work would be to apply replaygain to a lossless source li...

Re: Benchmarking: Let's see the minimum requirements to play.

Actually ME is lighter weight than XP by default. If you want performance, use 2000 instead or turn off tons of background services for XP.

Re: Katawa Shoujo Act 1 Preview feedback thread

Alright, I've played through most of the demo (just need to do Shizune's mini-route) and am finally ready to give my uber long post of feedbackness. I don't know if the devs will actually read this far into this topic, but I hope... But first, I REALLY like how skip mode automatically deactivates wh...

Re: Benchmarking: Let's see the minimum requirements to play.

CPU: Athlon XP 2100+ OC'd @ 2GHz Trasitions didn't lag, snow didn't lag. Snow + trasitions at same time just BARELY lagged, fireworks lagged very obviously. Did I hear opengl support for Ren'Py 7? My oc'd Radeon 9600 256MB AGP is begging to take on those particle effects >:D And to the guy that said...

Re: Katawa Shoujo Act 1 Preview feedback thread

I'm not all that far at all in Act 1 (just made it to the Library) but I already have several things to comment on and point out (also in an attempt to clean out my save list >_>) Please don't yell at me if this seems like I'm too criticizing, it's just the beta tester in me trying to make KS the be...

Re: UI screenshots

Will there be the ability to write (type?) a comment for each save file like you can in Fate/stay night? This is very useful for people like me that save at every choice >_>;. What I do is I write what choice I made so that I don't get all confused with a ton of save files. ....speaking of which, wi...

Re: What kind of editing is done to the photo backgrounds?

No offense, but that really doesn't tell me much...

If you're unwilling or do not wish to share the details for whatever reason, that's fine - but couldn't you at least tell me that you can't give any more detail? :/ You don't have to explain why.

What kind of editing is done to the photo backgrounds?

Supposedly the backgrounds are just edited photos. What kind of editing is done?

NOTE: The following post by Suriko will make absolutely no sense since that reply was to a different question from before I edited this topic.

Re: How'd you find yourself here?

I just found this today and joined just to make this post. I'm not entirely sure how I found it, I was doing multiple things at the same with with several tabs opened in firefox... I was on the Lurkmore wiki, and then somehow I ended up doing a google search for something which lead me to a news pos...
