That's pretty awesome, although I was hoping that she just kicks down all the doors. That's how I would want to do it.encrypted12345 wrote:And for your second point, like I said, Legs are pretty damn flexible

Re: Review on Katawa Shoujo
I don't know I thought he kind of had a point with that. The game seems to briefly mention the fact that they have disabilities but then it's just sort of put to the side. Should the game go out of it's way to ignore the girl's disabilities that much? It feels like maybe it should've touched on it ...

Re: Review on Katawa Shoujo
There's a lot of things that could be said, Mirage outlined most of it, so I won't repeat him. But the major problem is that... You refuse to see disabled people as ordinary people. I'm busy, so I'll rant how you can't tell me that the characters aren't empathetic later. I don't know I thought he k...

Re: Hisao's question
I feel bad for laughing at that second one. >_> Then my job here is complete. Also there's an alt text version here , but it won't make sense unless you've seen this video . How does that video help? It's a static picture with instrumental music. If you don't listen to the whole thing you're not go...

Re: Katawa Shoujo no more, thanks to SCIENCE!
Plus, Rin's limbs were not amputated. She actually never had them, so there are no nerves for the prosthetics to be attached to. She would need more cyberpunk age technology than that (direct neural link from the brain?). That is incorrect. As it states on the site... Since Rin’s arms are tiny stum...

Re: Katawa Shoujo no more, thanks to SCIENCE!
The mechanical side of things is still an issue, that is creating something that fully replicates the movement/senses of the human arm. But this (the nerves) is one of the biggest hurdles and it looks like they're about to overcome it.

Re: Katawa Shoujo Cosplay General
I'm going as Setou Kenji to Anime St. Louis in a few weeks. Will provide pics when I can stop being lazy about putting it together (and when I can find a digital camera lying around, to boot). I've got something epic and humorous planned for the event, so I'm pretty psyched! ...Satou Kenji? Are you...

Re: Least favorite girl?
But are those flaws, or are those there just make her more endearing? If they really were flaws they would actually have a negative impact every now and then. Well one of them managed to give Hisao a heart attack, him being the unlucky bastard that he is. Also mothering Hanako too much had negative...

Re: Did you sometimes forget that KS was not Japanese?
Also everyone always calling everyone by their first name. That happens often enough in translations. Always funny when it is full voiced in Japanese and you hear what they actually say. Oh well that actually brings up a point that helps me remember it's not japanese: no voice acting. Not that I ca...

Re: Least favorite girl?
LIlly. Like I said in another topic, she is as close to a Mary Sue as you are gonna get in KS and honestly she seems a little too "perfect". All the other characters had obvious flaws and so I felt they were a lot more interesting than Lilly. That being said I liked all of the main charac...

Re: Did you sometimes forget that KS was not Japanese?
There were a lot of figures of speech that I think would only work in english (especially in Lilly's route, with constant prodding at phrases like "I see"). Also everyone always calling everyone by their first name.
So I never really did forget that it wasn't.

Re: Am I the Only One That Didn't Like Lilly's Route?
The worst thing about Lilly's path is that it has no conflict for the first 3 acts. Without conflict I found myself bored with what was happening. The last act does fix this, but it's a bit late to the party. It is also quite cliched, so I think they nailed that part of her original design on the sh...
