Yeah it's very similar, I don't think there's much doubt that it was inspired by the original, it' just got a bit of a new spin on the song.

The more I play this the more I love the OST, and while I love all of the music so far I feel like Aria de l'Etoile is far and away my favorite after the Rin story. The only song I'm not fond of is the song that plays after the day ends, after a really emotional scene it just feels very out of place.

So far I've played Hanako, Emi and Rin, and I've gotta say Rin's is my favorite by quite a bit. I felt like it was consistently just great and it's ending was awesome.
