Re: Bad end discussion topic

Or you can, with some careful application of patience, wait for the flowchart or walkthrough. If these two only display the choices for the respective path, you will probably not be spoilered too much and can achieve a happy ending on our first go. And before someone points it out, I will do so myse...

Re: H scene quantity

The more assertive characters - Shizune and Emi respectively, I think - will likely have one or two more H scenes than say, Hanako, who may just have but the one H scene given how shy she is. Much of Hanako's route may be spent simply teasing her out of her shell. It could also be the exact opposit...

Re: Is Anyone Else Afraid To Go Further?

Think of Romeo and Juliet - I know it's probably not the best example but at least everybody knows it. They, too, had almost no interaction before their epic story and the tale of their relationship is even shorter than Act 1. What part of that ridiculous story is remotely believable? My poi...

Re: are the devs planning to give KS an OP?

In order to increase the overall insanity, and seeing as the word MOJO prominently features in the chorus, I propose using music like the Austin Powers theme.

Yeah baby, yeah! 8)

Re: Is Anyone Else Afraid To Go Further?

I think whether one eagerly awaits Katawa Shoujo, or is afraid to go further, it has to do with what expectations one projects onto the story and the characters. Eh, the Shizune relationship completely crushes my suspension of disbelief for multiple reasons (one week: "Hm, I think I like Shizun...

Re: Is Anyone Else Afraid To Go Further?

Trust me, the story will flow in such a way that the sex will come naturally. It better... I am afraid I am going to mention an old issue we have had several times over but it still plays into this topic, I believe. A span of three months or even shorter for a relationship to evolve from complete s...

Re: Katawa shoujo featured on Kotaku.

Basically, the idea is that "for a 4chan project, it's not bad, I guess" is not the kind of feedback we want. We'd rather be held to higher standards. I think there is no real standard that Katawa Shoujo can be compared to. For anything concerning Original English Visual Novels I think it...

Re: Katawa shoujo featured on Kotaku.

Well, it's not like Katawa Shoujo has a real target demographic it can appeal to, although, certainly, some people are visiting 4chan and are into Visula Novels. Wasn't it established that this game is aimed at what the devs want and we are just some lucky parasites along for the ride?

Better yet, maybe he is someone here on these very forums. :)

Re: Katawa shoujo featured on Kotaku.

Kotaku is very well known, and when a site I write for got featured on there once we had a nice spike of visitors, so it's worth noting at least. Thank you. So, we are talking about at least some sort of internet attention from relatively popular sites. In that case I am most likely on Bara's side ...

Re: Katawa shoujo featured on Kotaku.

From my viewpoint, the article is rather fair when it comes to the treatment of this game. It feels more like the author is "lifting an eyebrow in suprise coupled with a nod of professional or semi-professional acknowledgement" considering the circumstances of Katawa Shoujo. Most people wo...

Re: Is Anyone Else Afraid To Go Further?

Shizune's ending got me all warm and fuzzy inside. Not one VN squeezed tears through my eyes yet but KS is moving. Narcissu's end was just so damn sad. YMK's ends were just so damn happy. Slight tears all around. I'd add 'Kana: Little Sister' to that list. Has both relatively "happy" and ...

Re: Emi's New Sprites

There is this weird thought floating around in my head that I cannot understand. Hey i was trying to say that not everyone is going to like the changes. (Or any changes) Please note that I am not trying to discredit you Snicket, but your words carry something I am wondering about. Of course, we are ...
