Re: What scene made you "cry" the most
I think prompting for a name in a visual novel is inherently problematic, because naming a character is, in a way, owning the character. There's a certain contract formed in which the developer promises a certain amount of agency to the player, but this is something that a visual novel just cannot d...

Re: What if Rin had prosthetic arms?
It would be different for someone who used to have arms, but lost them.
Rin was born without arms in the first place, if I recall. So the way she does things now is normal for her, and always has been. Suddenly having these new appendages would just feel weird.

Re: Has anybody here played this while having a RL girlfrien
Metalangel is right. Sex is perfectly natural, and its shameful to try and teach children thats its wrong. I've got no problem with advising teens to wait until their more mature, but at the same time, they need to be taught about the dangers of pregnancy and STD's, and how birth control works. Jus...

Having a significant other doesn't mean you can't enjoy a story about romance. In fact, you would probably be able to appreciate it better, because it's more likely to be something you can relate to. You are not Hisao (despite you controlling some of his actions), and you are not dating Emi/Shizune/...

I tend to just consider everything a parallel universe. Nothing gets overwritten because everything happens concurrently.SpunkySix wrote:As for playing the other routes, that just feels weird because it feels like over writing what I already did.

I think you may have read the entry that claims it was Word of God, but I couldn't find proof of that here. The good part about wikis, though, is that you can always edit them if they end up being wrong.

Re: The "feels" bazaar.
Just play it in chunks at a time, when you have the time. Set an alarm so you don't end up blowing an entire afternoon, or save and quit after a scene transition. Stories are better experienced in parts, anyway. (In my opinion, obviously.) Take the time to process what you've read before moving on w...

Re: Why is Hisao so disliked?
Well, that's only half-true. You get to decide a few significant turning points, but for the most part, you're just in the passenger seat, not behind the wheel.

Something I've been thinking about lately, Aiko has her lifespan pretty much pinned down, but what about Hisao? If I'm not mistaken, one stroke of bad luck and it's game over. For all we know, Hisao could be the one to go first (though hopefully not... maybe). Sometimes I wonder if Aiko acknowledges...

Re: Is Rin's route worth?
Oddly enough, the moment I stopped trying to make sense of Rin, rationally, was the point where I started to understand what she was about. I have tried to get into her story and got about half way through act 2 when I stopped (I think I just didn't have the time). Anyway I've come to this glorious ...
