Re: The Thread Thread: Questions about alternate outfits, etc.
"Three outfits for each girl" was mentioned on the convention transcript - while we can't be sure whether that's actually a specific value or just a random number that Suriko threw out there for the sake of illustrating the workload for the audience, you could easily see it translating to ...

Re: Voices of the girls as you imagine them
When I read how people seem to have no problems identifying individual voice actors, I wonder if my lacking ability to do so, could be considered a disability... I sympathise, Mirage - I don't really follow voice actors and actresses as personalities, either. To be honest, it all sounds like jabber...

Re: About the game's erotica...
Meanwhile, in the inner chambers of the Four Leaf Fortress atop a bleak and desolate blustery wave-cracked bluff, several figures, hodded in forbidding shadow, with only their silhouettes picked out in knife-edge highlighting, are seated about a conference table wrought, not carved, from gnarled anc...

Re: Thinking in fives
I think that these pictures wouldn't look all that bad being added to the credits sequence when the full game is released - they have a little more personality than having names scrolling up a black screen, at any rate.

Re: 24
ContinualNaba, DESU is referring to a series of threads over on 4chan's /a/, where artists ("drawfags") who are looking to practise have been taking requests. It's actually been incredibly successful - threads have been running continuously throughout the summer (up to no. 227 at the time ...

Re: Who Stole Kenji's Lifeforce?
Why twice? This isn't the General Election, there's nothing to be gained from stuffing the ballot box y'know. :P The Yuuko theory actually has existed for a fair while - there's even a fair amount of art over on The Mishimmie exploring it, such as these two by weee: http://shimmie.katawa-shoujo.com/...

Re: Katawa Shoujo Panel at the Manifest Anime Convention
We know that Emi lost her legs in an accident - it says so on her character profile on the website - and a car accident seems the most likely way that a young civilian could conceivably be injured to the extent of losing limbs. Sadly, my elaborate, elegant and comprehensively-referenced theory of Em...

Re: Who Stole Kenji's Lifeforce?
Not sure I agree with your logic here. I see no reason to assume Kenji wasn't insane before that incident, and I suspect that his sudden mojo loss just gave him somewhere to focus his tinfoil-hattery. Fair point, well-presented. Thinking about it, it could actually indirectly lend further support t...

Re: Who Stole Kenji's Lifeforce?
Kenji says in "The Deep End" that he came to know his girlfriend in the Biblical sense "a year ago" - which incidentally makes his paranoiac personality actually a fairly sudden swerve, and the fact that it's relatively recent is probably why no-one else has communicated with him...

Re: Katawa Shoujo Panel at the Manifest Anime Convention
Man of Wide Ears, the Prince of Wales life in VN form. While the title is a bit too self-consciously daft, as a concept that actually sounds as though it could be really interesting. I was surprised to find a few months back that it's also something that Japan has touched on before - there was a th...

Re: Who Stole Kenji's Lifeforce?
I'd prefer it to be Yuuko - her involvement seems the most plausible, especially given her nervous disposition and her anxious desire to help... but not entirely succeed at it. Similarly (as I've written in a couple of other posts) she tries to help bring an unhappy, lonely boy out of isolation with...

...Unless she decides to string Hisao along for a bit just to tease him... If it's a race to see who can seduce young Master Nakai most expeditiously, this is what's going to make Shizune's efforts bomb harder than Dresden. Yes, she has an assertive personality, but she also likes to play games... ...

Y'know, whatever form the H-scenes ultimately assume, as long as there are vagoos, titties, asses, belly-buttons and snogs, I don't think that Four Leaf Studios will go too far wrong, do you?

Re: STAB TIME!: Katawa Shoujo Yandere Fun-Happy Knife Frenzy!
Well, when I used "yandere" in the thread title and first post it wasn't necessarily in a romantic context, rather I used it as an easy way to evoke the general atmosphere of stab-happy spree killers gone postal to the forum, as most of us are familiar with anime. For instance, Mutou clear...

Re: What you wouldn't want to happen in the story
I understood that Yuuko was Kenji's girlfriend - she was trying to help a lonely, unhappy boy and bring him out of isolation with some tenderness, only for her well-meaning amateur therapy to backfire messily and drive Kenji into the Jack D. Ripper ("deny them my essence") state that we fi...
