Re: Sisterhood: True Edition (Hanako Epilogue) (Completed)

Thanks for the comments. Karla and Hiro I really liked. As KS characters go, they are blank slates that can be moulded to suit the needs of Fan Fiction authors and I liked the fact you didn't go for the easy route as make them unlikeable. They're blank slates, but most of the time I think their role...

Re: Sisterhood: True Edition (Hanako Epilogue) (Completed)

I still maintain that this story is just too damn long. That would not be as much of a problem for me if its flow and pacing worked, but I as I read through the new additions, they felt not like expansions, but like full-blown sequels. The original story... the trip to Scotland... the downtime with...

Re: The Official KS Headcanon Thread

She didn't really become that much more talkative when intoxicated, or as hyperactive as an actual genki girl. My impression of her when she got drunk was that she became extraordinarily clingy. Hence the glomp moniker.

Re: The Official KS Headcanon Thread

She kinda of a genki girl when she 's drunk, certainly a residue of her personality without the social and emotional problems and she don't seems a bitch at all.
Not really that much of a genki girl, but definitely a big glomp.

Re: The Official KS Headcanon Thread

That may be so, but Emi already canonically knows of Misha's crush on Shizune and with Misha still hanging around Shizune and Hisao, despite the two dating, I'd say Emi would at least know that someone there was probably feeling miserable. Emi may not be the most book-smart person in the school, but...

Re: The Official KS Headcanon Thread

I dunno. If Emi and Misha had been that close or at least close enough to look out for each other or consider each other friends, I can't help but wonder where Emi was when Misha started going through her blues. Misha, IMHO, is someone who could have benefitted from someone looking out for her, give...

Re: Hanako's Story (COMPLETED 18/08/2014)

I think that's apples and oranges. The main difference between the old and the new version of Sisterhood were the 46 new chapters. Sure, the original chapters were given a grammar/spelling/tense check, had some annoying stuff like parenthesed thought and lines that sounded good in my head, but bad w...

Re: Sisterhood: True Edition (Hanako Epilogue) (Completed)

Thanks. :) Yeah, others have brought up the fact that the story moved away from Hisao in the later chapters. This was both kind of intentional and kind of unavoidable. The first 18 chapters had two plotlines that moved side by side: Hanako and Hisao trying to develop their relationship as girlfriend...

Re: The Official KS Headcanon Thread

It also kind of clashes with how Hanako herself describes her life prior to the accident.

Re: Sisterhood: True Edition (Hanako Epilogue) (Completed)

As far as the end result, would they have had the opportunity to create the attachment you mentioned without those pieces in place? I don't believe so, thus it eventually leads to the same place. That depends. A large turning point was Lilly's dad being hospitalized, the buried tensions in the fami...

Re: Sisterhood: True Edition (Hanako Epilogue) (Completed)

I wanted to briefly touch on the matter of agency, which I didn't mention in my PMs before. My view on Hanako's recovery speed was initially based on Cpl_Crud's words that it would probably take several more years before Hanako would be completely self-sufficient and given Hanako's state at the begi...

Re: Sisterhood: True Edition (Hanako Epilogue) (Completed)

Actually, no, and I didn't think my OTP was going to happen in this timeline anyway. ;) It just strikes me as burying part of who she is (although she acknowledges that in a way), and quite literally making herself in a legal sense, anyway, a dependent , even though she herself doesn't see it that ...

Re: Sisterhood: True Edition (Hanako Epilogue) (Completed)

Is it because it permanently invalidates your OTP? ;)

To be honest, I briefly considered making the ending more open, but in the end, I felt that if you open the door, you also have to walk through it.
