Act 2 scene 11, part 2

Part 2 of Scene 11: 'Doin the jitterbug' The following day arrives far too quickly for my tastes as I groan and roll out of bed. I wobble over to my desk, put my electric kettle on and then sit back down, stretching the kinks out of my back. I stir out of my stupor when the kettle clicks and make m...

Act 2 Scene 11.

Scene 11! After this scene we have the crescendo for Act 2. Some teenage over angst in this chapter and a little bit of family history. *********** Act 2 Scene 11 Doin’ the jitterbug. Hisao’s raised voice rouses me from sleep. He’s arguing with someone very nearby. Sounds like a one sided argument t...

Re: Learning the blues. Act 2 Scene 10 up!

I hope Fukiko is able to help Misha get over Shizune's rejection of her. Additionally, I hope Misha won't simply use Fujiko as a rebound. Either way, Fujiko has her work cut out for her, but we can't control who we have feelings for. Onto a happier note, the scene at the very end was sweet, even if...

Re: After the Fall [Alternate-Ending]

Oooooooooooooooooooooooo Dis, dis I like! In fact it's just sparked a rabid plot bunny. Goddamit cloud. -headbutts desk- Still a good solid, 'what if' piece. I agree that a hospital would be the more likely place but what I really, really like is you placing Hisao even lower down mentally....

Scene 10: "I can feel it in the air tonight" Part 2

Part 2 of 'I can feel it in the air tonight' ***** I’m shaken awake by Fujiko. I blearily glance at the clock, my eyes gummy with sleep. “Am I running late?” I ask, voice slightly husky. “You will be,” Fujiko scolds me, getting a uniform out of my wardrobe as she speaks. “I’ll start your coffee. Yo...

Re: Yamaku's Cheshire Cat [Short, Miki and Hanako]

OK, for the record, I adore the chesire cat. Hands down my favourite literary character, apart from Harry Dresden, and really the image of Miki fading into the background from a confused Hanako leaving simply a smile in the air had me in stitches. Alice in wonderland meets KS? Would be rather surrea...

The very foreign urge to draw overtook me after doing marking today... so here's a very bad attempt at Ayane and a bad umbrella, as it was raining. And forgive me for the size >< I am not tech savvy.

Re: Learning the blues. Act 2 Scene 9 up!

Thanks to Mirages beta reading. You sir are awesome! -tips hat- . Suffice to say, another great chapter. Looks like Misha is at least giving Fujiko a chance, which should be interesting. Oh Anton you are really going to like the next chapter 8) -cackles- Anyway beta version is now up and about, agai...

Scene 9: Dance the night away part 2

Part 2 of: Dance the night away Saturday passes into Sunday fairly rapidly. The talk of the school is - of course - the new English teacher. I’ve had no end of people ask me about my sister, but I’ve remained tight-lipped. If she’s to be a teacher here, the less the students know about her the bett...

Scene 9: Dance the night away

Beta'd now! Cheers Mirage! Dance the night away A surprise, some dancing and a date. -------------------- Act 2 Scene 9 Dance the night away The awakening process for me today is slow, like rising through quicksand. Very comfortable quicksand, though, as I feel very comfortable, warm and safe - like...

Re: Learning the blues. Act 2 Scene 8 up!

It comes from episode 2, where Shinji wakes up in the hospital after his first foray in unit 1. HIs first words as he comes to are I believe "An unfamiliar ceiling" It's also one of the titles for episode 2.

Re: Learning the blues. Act 2 Scene 8 up!

Indeed it is, although I snuck two Evangelion references in there as well. One very blatant and the other a bit more sneaky. I just had the mental image of Hisao raging at the inaccurate science of one of the chracters and couldn't resist, even though the release date of Madoka was in 2011, I couldn...

Re: Learning the blues. Act 2 Scene 8 up!

Enjoy! (For those anime purists, there is a large reference at the end and yes I'm aware it doesn't match KS and when the anime itself was published but I just had this mental image I had to type out...) Also a massive shout out to Mirage for him beta reading this! Cheers! ------------------ Act 2 S...

Re: Overcoming Writer's Block

I sit down and have a conversation with my characters. Don't call the men in white coats just yet. Most of my writing is done via being dictated to by the characters. So, learning the blues is written by me sitting in my chair, Ayane in another and her dictating to me. When I have writers block I ta...
