Re: What, this old (new) thing?
I can't say I'm a fan of the writing style (it feels as if I'm having the events of a story relayed to me by a second party, rather than being told the story outright (and also the frequency of parentheses (nested ones at that, ironically) does irk me)) but I'm intrigued by the premise. As I recall ...

Re: Iwanako: Mean Time to Breakdown {updated 2015-4-1}
They're not friends, like in the proactive sense, but they are acquainted with each other, and they're nice to each other. Hanako probably canonically likes Emi: that's how I choose to interpret that scene. (Dewelar? You wanna back me up?) Well, I'm not Dewelar, but I wrote a whole series based on ...

Re: BlackWaltz's One-stop Oneshot Shop (New: 30th Apr)
Hanako just felt so off. ... She just felt too normal. Understandable. I guess it's in part because it's an AU that Hanako is more developed by the time Hisao arrives, but that transformation could have been better paced, I agree. It comes down to the series being concieved as a single one-shot and...

Re: Greater Than The Sum (Finished!) - All days now up: 11/4
Holy necropost Batman! I admit I'm somewhat surprised that people still read this, especially as we reach three years since its inception. It's always nice to see people enjoying it, too, even if I no longer think very highly of it. I do agree about the disconnectedness from the canon KS story, tho...

Re: Like Antennas to Heaven [Happy Birthday, Misha]
Somewhat predictable I guess, but nonetheless very sweet. I like the way you incorporate Misha's tendency to use tildes and exclamation marks in her speech, in her prose. One tiny error I noticed; " [some sort of event or happening... " has a lower case S at the start. Glad to see you stil...

Re: Katawa Seiyu
It is indeed dead. We were too ambitious and lacking in both experience and time sufficient to handle a project of this magnitude. It's unlikely that we'll collectively return to Katawa Seiyu in the future. Individually, some of us have moved on to other projects, such as Tyranee's Danganronpa Fandu...

Re: Learning To Fly - A Saki pseudo-route (Updated 9/20)
I would personally upload them to an image sharing website and link to them, rather than embedding each chapter with X amount of images. That way, the people who want to see the pictures can by clicking the links, and the people who don't need only ignore the links. It is an interesting idea though,...

I didn't. My point was that excessively long sentences with an inordinate amount of commas are undesirable, with the caveat that too few is also undesirable.Mirage_GSM wrote:I don't think BlackWaltz meant this to be an example to be followed... At least I hope he didn't.

Re: Sisterhood: True Edition (Hanako Epilogue) (Completed)
And then my vision fell upon the seven tall candles upon the table. At first they wore the aspect of charity, and seemed white and slender angels who would save me; but then, all at once, there came a most deadly nausea over my spirit, and I felt every fibre in my frame thrill as if I had touched t...

Re: Sisterhood: True Edition (Hanako Epilogue) (Completed)
Whether they're sounds or actions isn't the point. The point is that it's a very very poor way of describing what is going on. I'll go so far as to say incorrect. It has no literary meaning to include text in asterisks other than that we have an association derived from our experiences online. What ...

Okay, at this point, I have re-read up to chapter 17 and no further, nor any comments. *prepares self* When I read the original post of this fic two years ago, I was blown away. As I recall, someone pointed out that it was "A Hanako bad-end inside a Lilly good-end inside a Hanako good-end"...

Re: Yamaku Book Club (Now Reading: The most suprising thing)
Well, I suppose my first port of call is the formatting of this story; the three-sectioned layout covering three different but ultimately converging time periods is not only a novel idea but adds to the mystery of the plot arc. It's kind of like completing a puzzle, where the pieces you select alter...
