Re: Piano Sheet Music?
And I'm also going to make a piano transcription for "Air Guitar". If you all are arranging for the sake of completeness I'd like to point out that I did in fact make a pretty faithful piano arrangement of Air back on the front page (http://nicol.chendo.net/music/KS%20Piano/Air/), althoug...

Re: Piano Sheet Music?
To Become One: PDF - MP3 - MID This one was longer than I remembered. I tried to fill out the end a little with a little harmony, since in the soundtrack version the piano and violin play in unison on the last chorus, but in doing so I fear I may have done little more than recapture the cheesiness ...

Re: Piano Sheet Music?
Raindrops and Puddles PDF Raindrops and Puddles MP3 Raindrops and Puddles MIDI I really like how this one turned out. The ritard at the end didn't make it into the MIDI for some reason, but I don't care enough to try to fix it. It works in the MP3 and that's good enough. That's probably enough tran...

Re: Ask!
A question to Nicol Armarfi: While actually sounding different, Emi's theme Standing Tall has got - in my opinion - the same distinct feeling as Vangelis' Chariots of Fire, which was a soundtrack for a movie about runners. Is it just a coincidence or was it a kind of a musical pun? I don't notice a...

Re: Ask!
Nicol, I absolutely love your work. Are you up for taking commissions? I won't accept money. If there's something you'd like me to do I'll gladly do it for free. Audio: ??? or more like: what program/s did you use, output encoding /format /file.ext , etc. (also, how do i loops sound?) I used Finale...

Re: Ask!
I absolutely love the soundtrack, and being a musician myself I enjoy playing it too. Would there be any way of acquiring a set of parts or score for pieces like Red Velvet? This thread has a ton of piano sheet music throughout, I'd suggest taking a look. Coincidentally I also uploaded the original...

Re: Ask!
How was the music worked out? Did you guys just ask Nichol for like 10 sad songs and 10 happy songs etc., or was it more like "here is a rough outline of the scene"...compose a song? If the tracks were written and then applied to a scene...any in particular you feel worked out perfectly? ...

Re: Piano Sheet Music?
Hey Nicol, was just wondering, is the stuff on the front page all the final versions of everything? I'd like to record most of the soundtrack and I wanted to make sure to get the correct copies (although It doesn't matter too much). I got the parity from page 17, and just assuming that the final ve...

Re: Piano Sheet Music?
I love all of the songs in Katawa Shoujo, but I'm particularly interested in Nocturne =O I'm curious as to the roots or inspiration for the song; it shares a similar chord progression and even the melody of O Canada! (Canada's national anthem). I'd be ecstatic if it truly was linked in some part to...

Red Velvet is the jazziest, but they were all intended to be jazz-y.guest2 wrote:Hey what style would you all categorize Nocturne, Cloudland Swing, and Red Velvet as? Trying to find a station that has the same kind of sound. (Assuming Red Velvet is jazz, the sub-type.)

Yeah, OCR doesn't accept visual novel music as far as I can remember. I personally agree with them on that one, though.Snow_Storm wrote:Just wondering, are there any KS music remixes on OC ReMix yet or is OCR so anal they don't allow visual novel music remixes?

Re: Piano Sheet Music?
Bar 32 is virtually impossible to play. No. Use fingering: 231234121232124321321312. You can make liberal use of rubato here, too. Playing it in strict time won't do it any justice. I'd reccomending ritting until the high Ab, then accelling until the start of the next measure. Good job on the trans...

3. This one is more for NicolAmarfi: What do you think of this remix? I just cannot stop listening to it! http://youtu.be/dSrkPPPYH2c It's not much of a remix, it's more like an original track made of samples. The musician who made this seems pretty talented though, so props. Also - what do you thi...
