Re: Is katawa Shoujo the gateway drug of visual novels?
You're not the only one. Read Fate/Zero. Caster there mistakes her for Joan of Arc.

Re: Is katawa Shoujo the gateway drug of visual novels?
o_O While I'm consistently not into paying for anything if it can be avoided, your apparent stance seems arbitrarily inconsistent. Things like the most recent KS blog post should show that people can put the same amount of effort into making VN porn as into any video game. If you're going to pay for...

Re: Is katawa Shoujo the gateway drug of visual novels?
I did like Mizuki's route, partly because the pr0n made sense to me for the story. After that I tried Snow Sakura. I would've liked this one too if it wasn't for how horny every girl was. :? After that, I started looking down on visual novels. But then after Katawa Shoujo Act 1, I started wanting t...

Re: Four Leaf Studios, how does it work?
Well, that doesn't say much unless the magnitude of a "revision" is established. I mean, for all I know fixing a single mistyped letter in a random Kenji line somewhere could constitute a revision. Not that I'm worried, or ever have been, that "nothing's happening". Just noting t...

Re: Lilly's vs. Akira's accent?
...... Contrary to popular belief, mods do not enjoy wasting their time running around locking threads at the behest of a few disgruntled posters. They are FORCED to lock threads sometimes when things get out of hand. When you consider a thread to have been derailed to the point of uselessness, ther...

Because his "fighting style" includes glasses that let him see anyway and a sword that can cut through anything.

I doubt every writer has every scene in KS memorized. They are all working on different paths.Merlyn_LeRoy wrote:It's also interesting that you would write "seems to be blatantly incorrect," as you presumably know if it IS incorrect or not...

Oh, I thought that was the reason for your trollface.Aura wrote:Something that occurred to me... I'm pretty sure the game script has no mention of any sort of accent on any character. Why does TvTropes have information that in the light of the actual product seems to be blatantly incorrect?

Re: Rin Cosplay
Well, a real face obviously can't capture the expressionlessness present in an anime face, so yes it's rather difficult to match Rin's perfectly, but that's how I'd picture a real-life version.

Re: Rin Cosplay
Really? I thought the expression was the best part by far, especially the second image. Not that we can really see much; Rin's facial expression is constant, so a video of you keeping up the "apathetically interested" appearance for a greater length of time would be necessary, but what I c...

Re: Emi + Phantom limbs =
Phantom pain in lost limbs is fairly common (I know three amputees and two of them have reported that; the third I just haven't asked), but phantom orgasms in non-erogenous amputated areas? That sounds extraordinarily rare.

I'm pretty sure that'll happen to all the girls at some point (and probably already has happened a bunch of times, really) without having anything to do with this.Csihar wrote:if anybody becomes inspired to make some Emi-with-cat-ears fanart because of this story, I'm totally okay with that. >.>

Probably would be more successful if it's v1, until Emi stops being a sketch.cpl_crud wrote:Also I'm going to try and make some DVDs with V3 on it to try to conver the masses. Let's face it, they're not going to convert themselves.
