On Emi's Good End... I believe there's two ways to get there the arsehole and non-arsehole routes. So, to Alpacalypse, go and explore both of those at the very least, if you haven't already.Megumeru wrote: I wouldn't say pointless, but yeah...it is pretty pointless. Emi's bad end also doesn't leave much.

Re: The Official KS Headcanon Thread
Even in Hanako's good ending she doesn't really improve, due to Hisao and Lilly constantly treating her like she's fragile. The problem with Hanako's Good Ending in this regard is that we don't get to see how Hisao and Lilly treat her after (safely) realizing the damage they were doing by their cod...

Re: Hanako's Broken Heart Club
It's just a shitty situation... It sounds like there were a lot of people in better placed than you were who should'a/could'a/would'a have done positive things in her life to help her become that better person -- but they didn't. (I would put the girl herself in the "people better placed than ...

Re: Yamaku Book Club (Currently Reading: Katawa Shoujo Bloop
As a person who has imagined the existence of a KS "greenroom", I found the Blooper Reel fanfic rather amusing. I noticed the Hisao/Emi/Rin pairing and Kenji/Hanako pairing well before the ending author note, where the author comes out and admits it and explains the logic behind the pairin...

Headcannon... Headcanon... That's why one needs a Hanako Technical Writer of their own (or at least just pay attention to what they're writing.)

A Hanako headcannon that I came up with a while back: Depending on how much support she gets throughout her life results in different occupations ... I can see this. I mentioned "technical writer" as a possible good end occupation for a similar reason -- she would support Hisao (the scien...

Wouldn't they have to have at least the option of a laundry service? The theoretically could be disabled students unable to do their own laundry. (For example, some Quadriplegics.)

Re: Please release Katawa Shoujo source code as free softwar
The first post also misses the fact that the ren'py engine on which KS is based upon is open source software (covered under the MIT license). Also, any python in the compiled scripts is a result of the use of the underlying ren'py engine. Thus, it would only be the 4LS assets (art work, script files...

Re: The Official KS Headcanon Thread
Thinking a bit Hanako: After her good ending, I think she would eventually grab Hisao by the cowlick and head for the rabbit ranch ... well not literally a farm full of bunnies (although the picture of Hanako in a room full of lop eared rabbits would be absolutely adorable), but some out-of-the-way ...

Re: The Official KS Headcanon Thread
On Emi: I wonder... Would Emi simply accept or reject the offer -- OR -- be hurt and insulted by the insinuation that her legs were the most important thing she lost in the accident? On Hanako: That is a point, actually... Remove the social anxiety, but you're still left with the cause for the socia...

Re: The Official KS Headcanon Thread
My headcanon for Rin is that her parents are Korean-Japanese artists or actors living on Tsushima. That's why Nomiya evades the topic of her parents and is so hell-bent on making her a productive member of Japanese artistic culture. It's also why we never have any contact with her family—too far aw...

Re: The Official KS Headcanon Thread
-Lilly's healthy adolescent sex drive eventually becomes a healthy adult sex drive, then a healthy newlywed sex drive, then a healthy married sex drive, and should Hisao survive all that, a healthy middle aged sex drive. I see a side effect of the healthy [fill in the blank] sex drive is lots of da...

Hisao: "Ah, I see. Speaking of tradition. Is there some special way I should be wearing it? Akira and you mom keep wanting to check and see if I'm wearing it in 'the traditional manner'." Lilly: ... Now I'm picturing Akira and mom pulling (!) random, spontaneous kilt-checks on him. Someti...

Re: The Official KS Headcanon Thread
My head canon for what happens after Yamaku is biased by nature of the ending in question: good endings should have good outcomes, bad endings should have bad outcomes. So, while there's no lasting relationships coming out the bad or neutral endings (1), I believe that all the good endings lead to e...
