Re: Japanese invasion
Yeah, I've poked around Mike Inel's work. Very respectable stuff, in there, and the animations are pretty well done, too.

Re: V1/2 Music VS V3 Music discussion
I've mentioned some clicking in tracks to Blue on IRC, but I don't think anyone mentioned any for Student Council. Like I've said before, blue's already on normalizing and replay gain (at least, Delta passed the ball to his court since Ren'Py doesn't support replay gain).

Re: Favorite girl.
Heh, I've written an essay's worth of Shizune analysis defending her from haters back when the demo first came out. It goes on until a few pages later, until I start talking about personality profiles and how I approach fiction, if anyone's interested.

And EL, the only real issue I have with Concord is the large amount of reverb and rubato on the strings in the middle section, otherwise I don't really see what you're getting at. The B-C transition is a shift from 4/4 time to a waltz. Of course it's going to be jarring. First part: yes. Second par...

Re: Version 3 Review
Soundtrack: "The Student Council": This one was very disappointing, not in the least because it used to be my favorite track. The core of the old one was its strong solo violin part. While the violin was not perfect, it worked and made the song what it is. In the new version, the violin h...

Re: V1/2 Music VS V3 Music discussion
Blue and the other dev's have already gotten an earful from me about the music on IRC, so I won't say much here. For those worried about the volume variance, Delta and Blue have already started on getting replay gain on all the tracks, so those'll be smoothed out. And EL, the only real issue I have ...

Re: Katawa Shoujo Act 1 Preview feedback thread
Yep, but frankly, some of the everyday speech we all use is nowhere near grammatical or elegant. So it makes sense that some of the dialogue Hisao and the girls use is also like that. If anything they use very little slang for high school kids. Very true. There's an article that came out about a mo...

On the other topic, why even keep 'baseless'? "Rin's questionable assurances" works well, cuts out unnecessary wording, and doesn't get pointlessly flowery with parentheses or dashes. This. What I learned was that, as a punctuation mark, commas are used to separate the dependent clause in...

Re: Katawa Shoujo Act 1 Preview feedback thread
You're using the hyphen to join several words into one adjective. Since you're describing a sedative that can knock out a bull elephant, "bull" should be included in the hyphenated conglomerate (as I understand hyphen usage, anyway [ Reference ]). That reference says nothing about this ty...
