I did hear that it is legitimately good. However, I'm not brave enough to try an otome game, much less a pigeon one.

Re: Anybody else disappointed Katawa Shoujo didn't make Crac

Let's be honest here, compare to games like A Drug That Makes You Dream and School Days, Katawa Shoujo is tame. Very tame. Eh, true. Then again those are also kind of tame compared to the things I've seen. Assuming the list would allow anything that involved romancing a girl, this should have been ...

Re: Recommend a VN

I reason why I'm learning Japanese is so I can mock all the people crying in corners at their inability to read awesome things. Of course, my backlog will become an all-devouring black hole, but that's not important. So does that mean I can mock all of you who can't read/understand them right now.....

Re: Recommend a VN

DONE with Muv Luv Alternative. Oh... Mah... GAWD! Mind = Blown. It was so good that I don't know whether to feel happy or sad... Feeling numb right now. And I can say for sure that a lot of what Muv Luv Alternative is because of what Muv Luv Extra and Muv Luv Unlimited was. They're not "bad&qu...

Re: Recommend a VN

Anyone tried majikoi? I'm thinking of giving it a go now--was discouraged due to download size and all (6GB are you kidding me??). But has anyone tried it? Nah. The translation won't be done until at least next year since after Miyako's route, the translator still has to do some more side character...

Re: Recommend a VN

Hey encrypted12345, (or anyone else who might know) I found Demonbane pretty easily, but I haven't had any luck with Kikokugai the Cyber Slayer. Does anyone know where I can get it in english? Huh, I can't find it either. Once JAST releases it ... sometime next year (hopefully) it should be easier ...

Re: Is katawa shoujo trend setting?

I suspect history will look back and pinpoint KS as pivotal in the genre, and in "entertainment" as a whole. I would not be surprised to see Nakige become even more popular, and for there to be a lot more willingness for Japanese companies to translate their VNs to other languages and to ...

Re: Recommend a VN

Woah... Muv Luv is really good. Extra, I mean. It's seriously underrated. Sure, most of it seems parody-ish, but it's highly enjoyable. But one must be able to distinguish between the comical parts and the non-comical parts to enjoy it, I guess. Trying to decide between Muv Luv or G-senjou as my fo...

At least you parents didn't have sex in the same room as you while you were trying to sleep. Did I mention that we were staying over at their friend's house?

You should take a good rest. You're blatantly suffering from some form of psychosis, and I think a good nap will do wonders for you.

Ah well, might as well use this post to vouch for Dengeki Stryker. which is coming out soon. It doesn't look deep or anything, but it looks fun.

Re: Recommend a VN

So are there any good action VNs out there? Other than F/SN, of course. A while back a couple people on this forum were discussing making one that was slightly action-oriented, I dunno if that went anywhere. Off the top of my head, I remember Kikokugai the Cyber Slayer and Demonbane. Those were bot...

I loved Corpse Party, but it was stupidly hard!

Of course, since I am a guro fan, you should probably treat this recommendation as a warning instead.

Re: Other Media that gave you "The Feels."

Bumping to generate more discussion.

Anyways, a recent re-read of the Kodomo no Jikan manga reminded me of why I wanted to become a psychologist in the first place. Such a horrifying and emotional tale about children. It really hits home for me since my childhood had ... issues.
