Re: Random KS Discussion

Soooo... I was looking for something and stubbled on this. As far as I can tell, Hanako doesn't actually appear anywhere on that site other than the banner there, but then again, I didn't exactly do a lengthy search either. Ah...Hanako, sweetie...I know you never had siblings and all but yikes ! Bu...

Re: Adaptive technology

Wasn't there a fanfic where the girls played a pen & paper RPG? Well, here's a D20 for Lilly.

Re: Moments in Time [One Shots]

This was a nice little one-shot. Although, it seems that Hisao ended up taking more than one shot in this...

BTW, welcome to the dark side... we have pie and french vanilla tea. :)

Re: Yamaku Book Club (Meeting Update: August—Mutou)

I've been a remiss in my posting duties lately. *sigh* Anyway, I wanted to mention that if we're talking about Mutou characterization, I have to throw the deadpan proposal scene from After the Dream. That bit of writing has cemented brythain's Mutou (as well as Mutou x Rika -- in spite of the age di...

Re: Developments (Post-Lilly NE) - Epilogue up 8/11 - COMPLE

Cast aside the illusion that there is a beginning and end to the story. The story has no beginning. And it has no end. All there is, is a performance of people connecting, living, influencing each other, and departing. ~Gustav Saint Germain (Baccano!) Let me just say that I'm happy to see this stor...

Re: Bantamweights: A One-Shot

I adore how Mai is portrayed here. In fact, the only difference between Leaty!Mai and my how I always imaged Mai is this:
I was positive it'd be a boy's haircut by now.
In my headcannon, it's always been a "boy's" haircut, or some other rather short hairdo.

Re: Developments (Post-Lilly Neutral End) - Ch.60 posted 8/3

Have to think on this chapter... But, what immediately stood out to me was the contrast between Hisao's new environment ("Mother of the Year" :x notwithstanding) and his old. Hisao's old town felt so disjointed -- for the lack of a better term -- compared to Yamaku. To elaborate, wh...

Re: Sharp-O's One-Shots! "Mischief in Shadow" - 23/7/15 Upda

“Tit for tat, Akio. And since you’ve seen some of my tit…” Reminds me of something I heard on XM Comedy Radio. To paraphrase: After hearing the grandmother say "Tit for Tat" for the umpteenth time, the grandson asks the granddad, "Grandpa, what's a Tat?" The granddad replies, &q...

I'm glad I'm not the only person to have this suspicion. Maybe Hisao should listen to Mutou more? :)

Re: Yamaku Book Club (Meeting Resumed: July—Iwanako)

@Wildecat - I've read the social chameleon theory on these forums a handful of times (possibly from you), and I don't particularly believe it. I firmly believe that Hisao had a sense of self at one point, but his heart attack and extended stay in the hospital obliterated it and turned it into the s...

Re: Yamaku Book Club (Meeting Resumed: July—Iwanako)

1. I wondered about why Hisao mentioned only these friends, and not others. .... Why? Answer: Hisao was peripheral to the clique , for such it was... ... 3. ...the peripheral hanger-on, Hisao Nakai... Iwanako at least has some sense of self left. Some sense of willingness to fight. She says that sh...

Re: The Official KS Headcanon Thread

Akira has a more Western view of mental health management, and doesn't look down on Hanako for managing her anxieties with the help of legitimate pharmaceuticals. She herself maintains an addiction to legal (in Japan) stimulants like ephedra, so she can be a wide-awake drunk. Coffee and energy drin...
