Re: Emi inspired running/workout
Always listen to you body :) That's almost the motto of Polar, the finnish company that made my heart rate monitor and my bike computer  The thing is, getting fit is addictive. Three years ago I could barely walk, a few kilos more and I'd landed in a wheelchair. And now... well, the last t...

Welcome, dude. That's the spirit!ArazelEternal wrote:Already its helping me feel a little better, because I am actually doing something for myself now. After another couple weeks of good, brisk walks I plan on stepping it up to a light jog.

Re: Emi inspired running/workout
I gave up on doctors when the last one said that I need a gastric band if I ever want to lose my weight. Needless to say that I proved him wrong.
I achieved that much calorie deficit mostly through sports, eating around 1800 kkal a day so the energy was not really the problem. Until yesterday that is.

Re: Emi inspired running/workout
I am a stupid idiot. Despite being oh so clever I probably met the first ugly sister. Listen to my story and learn from my mistakes. I am in my early thirties and the last 10 years of my life I've been really fat. At my worst, a little more than two years ago, I weighed 155 kg (340 lbs). I have mana...

Nope, it starts with the thirties already. Unfortunately.Kilo wrote:I thought these pains only appeared when people were, like, 70?

Re: Emi inspired running/workout
Don't train everyday unless you want to meet the three ugly sisters: Overreaching, Overtraining, Rhabdomyolysis. Proper recovery is as important as the actual training. Okay then :( Dude, we all know the urge. Overtraining is no fun, though, it forces you to stop doing sports for weeks, sometimes m...

Re: Emi inspired running/workout
2. Skipping days and getting anxious for another run, which maybe is healthier, since it is NOT light exercise for me. Today I came home in a very, very tired state. I was limping (Oh, come on, not "limping". My right leg was just hurt a little bit when I walked) and I kind of blacked out...

Peace
Today I had the longest walk of my life. 6.5 hours, 25 km, two mountain tops. My poor feet.

Re: Emi inspired running/workout
Woohoo, 45 km yesterday, mixed down- and uphill track. 2:45 straight, with only a few short breaks for hydrating and chewing a bit of a fruit bar. And that even wit a somewhat bad shifting due to (probably) a bent sprocket and a lost cleat on exactly half way :D Also lost 8 kilos since February. Tha...

Re: Hijacked by feels
The dude in question "traded" his girlfriend for Emi because "she wasn't helping him anymore." Somehow, I suspect that he wasn't helping her much either. So what exactly is the problem? Seems to me that it is all for the better. The dude in question gets what he wants, his girlf...

Re: Emi inspired running/workout
Yep. Would have been hurt much worse if that weren't magnetic cleats which always disengage in a fall.
