Re: Shizune Arc (misha, jigoro)
The whole "revoking your 'talking about Shizune' privileges" thing was a joke. That's the kind of joke that works better if it isn't so uncomfortably close to the truth. You come here and present opinions that are really no more convincing than anybody else's and then you spend thousands ...

Re: Shizune's route
Shizune's route contained quite a few things that I really liked, but I think somehow they did fit together as well as in the other routes. It wasn't the route I enjoyed least while playing it though. I feel a little bad being negative about something that I still enjoyed a lot and that is better th...

Re: Shizune Arc (misha, jigoro)
True, but doesn't the VN say that at least when Hisao is around she only makes one noise ever? I know that would be very unusual in real life, but I read that as a sign of Shizune's extreme self-control.Steinherz wrote: Remember, Shizune is DEAF. Volume control? What's that?

Re: Manly Picnic (worst end?)
That said, I thought it kinda went against the general style of KS. With so many feels and detailed planning, the manly picnic felt silly. Perhaps that was the intention. I think that just reflects that for narrative reasons the VN needed a clear end, but that is a bit hard to fit into the story as...

Re: The best written route?
[...] and Hideaki is being completly uninteresting in the most annoying way possible. It took me a while, but I think I have found an interpretation of Hideaki that works for me. The way he is depicted reminds me of the way I might have seen a younger boy at Hisao's age. The age difference is too l...

Re: What if Iwanako transferred to Yamaku?
i think after what iwanako did, abandoning him at the hospital and moving on with her life, he would just forget her... Iwanako confessed her love to him. From her perspective she almost killed Hisao, even if she could not have anticipated that of course. As far as we can tell, she never got any ki...

Re: The best written route?
I like how there doesn't seem to be a clear consensus. Of course such a thing is hard to quantify objevtively. It is also not a huge surprise that tastes differ, but it is still interesting to see it in such a microcosm. Everybody here has read the same routes or is at least working on it. They all ...

Re: Parents
Emi seems to be the only one with a decent releationship with her parent, and even then, her mom seems to have a hard time trying to understand her daughter. And Emi's line about having lost everything once before gives you a pause even if it is possible that she didn't think through the implicatio...

Re: The best written route?
Difficult question. Perhaps I would need to reread more to answer that. I am still too new to this. Shizune's route gets a lot of hate, and I have no idea why. It covers the school year right until the last day. This is a big plus for me. Also, I love Shizune and Misha. Shizune is hard to relate to ...

Not quite. Everything after that decision will develop differently and it is quite a bit longer.

It is the most recent decision before that. "Agree with Lilly" instead of "Trust my own judgment".
There is also a third ending, but to get that you have to...
... decide to call it a day at an earlier point.

Re: Preconceptions about the routes
I think my minimal exposure to VNs before playing KS meant that I had only vague expectations. After the introduction of all the girls in Act 1 my interest in the routes actually matched my eventual enjoyment of the routes pretty well for the most part. I guess that means that the characterization w...

Re: What to change
I have no idea if we will be able to find out, but can you give a little more detail? What was it about Hanako's route? Which end or ends did you get? Was it Hanako's backstory or her overall situation? Something specific that happened during the route? The dynamics of their relationship? Hisao's vi...

Re: Hanako's Broken Heart Club
The BMI is also completely fucked. That's because the BMI was never meant to be a tool for individual diagnosis, although it is often abused as such because it is so convenient. It is properly used to compare larger groups and it works just fine for that purpose. If everybody paid attention to that...
