Re: So I've finished Shizune's story

I think the routes are purposely driven differently to make sure that everyone likes at least one of the arcs. Shizune's was kind of the breather, low drama, logic paced, reality based story. At the other extreme is Rin's psychedelic adventure down the rabbit hole to dimensions unseen. These are the...

I can send it to you later today when I get home from work, if someone doesn't get it to you first.

Re: Thoughts on the H-scenes?

I found the H-Scenes well woven within the fabric of the story and they added richness and depth to it. They were realistic, and they tended to be defining pivotal points in each relationship. They also added punch to the feels that a player gets when he finishes an arc. I don't think that players w...

Re: 100%'d the game, so what now?

Certainly, play it again. What you lose in mystery, you gain in depth. You will be surprised what you missed the first time through.

Re: Lilly's Route

I don't think Lilly's story ended perfectly. I think Lilly was forced to make a choice, a really hard one. I think she burned some major bridges with her family by not going back. The fact that Akira is now able to bring along her boy-toy to Scotland probably indicates that her parents wised-up and ...

I'm sure Hisao thought the same thing when he visited Hanako after she locked herself in her room on her birthday.
Exactly my point. Thanks :)

Re: Telling friends and/or family?

Part of the difficulty is that the "mainstream" view of anime and PC games in general have a bit a stgma IRL. Most people don't even understand simple stuff like vocaloid. I am barely able to get away with listening to jPop, and only because I am able to use the excuse that I am learning J...

Re: What does Nc5xb3 means? (Hanako Route)

More than the "rape", I think the entire "White Knight" thing is debatable as well. I found there to be a double standard in both Emi and Hanako's arcs. Lilly (with Hanako's tacit team support) White Knights Hisao, but in the bad ending when Hisao attempts to reciprocate, Hanako ...

Re: Weird situation you'd put the girls into

There is an amazing old movie from 1970 called "Kelly's Heroes" with an allstar cast about a WW2 tank crew in Europe doing a bank heist. It is a total group of misfits that essentially copy the same kind of theme that you have posted about. Your idea has some serious long term fan-fic pote...

Re: Weird situation you'd put the girls into

It would fit the current anime "Girls und Panzer" http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Girls_und_Panzer , which is turning out to be a lot of fun. Tank drivers usually drive blind as a matter of course -- they take verbal instructions from the commander or spotter. Many tanks now also have keyboar...

Re: Hanako and Life of Pi?

Sorry about that. It's a penguin from Mawaru Penguin Drum . It's too complicated to explain, especially since there's no direct link (probably) between the penguins and the child broiler, but... Well, the child broiler is a place where children that nobody needs anymore get recycled (or something)....

Re: Hanako and Life of Pi?

Now, this is my first post here, and the entire reason I made an account. Hanako was always my favorite character is KS for a while, and I could hardly play through the other paths every time I see her, but less on the waifu business... But I remember when listening to an interview with Cpl_Crud, t...

Re: OMG OMG OMG!!!!!!!!

A VN (or game) can be both a nakige and an eroge you know. Quite right. VN is a genre. It has several sub-genres, and among those that KS possesses is; OELVN, Eroge, Nakige, Bishoujo, NLV and others. And I like NiP's Pro tip: If the characters are having sex, then it has Eorge as one of it's sub-ge...
