Absolutely unbelievably incredible.
And I now consider Lily being able to make that face canon.

Re: Emi inspired running/workout
Went for another 11/3/11 today. Not much to say, though my left ankle and shin were hurting on the second part. Hoping it's just crummy footwear and not shin splints (I've had these shoes for a while, and they're starting to break down. A couple weeks ago I had to put masking tape on the inside so i...

Re: The Inane Doodlings of an Attention Deficit
So the only difference between sober Rin and baked Rin is profanity?
Fair enough.

Re: Emi inspired running/workout
Unfortunately I had to cancel my weekly run the previous two weeks due to illness and fatigue, though to make up for it I went on a pretty killer bike ride. Did manage to go for a run today, though. 11/3/11. Might have pushed myself a bit much; for some reason there were a lot of negative thoughts s...

These things are so terrible they shouldn't be so hilarious.
Also you've now increased my love of Natsume about tenfold (from nothing to "oh hey she's cute").

Re: Emi inspired running/workout
I have definitely noticed an improvement in my mental health as well. That, along with things going pretty well in my life right now, have continued to keep me motivated. I will continue to check in with progress reports once in awhile :P Good to hear that! Exercise is pretty great for mental healt...

Re: Emi inspired running/workout
Haha, this sounds so familiar :P Where are you based, if it's hot enough at 10am? I mean, it was fairly warm here in England (at least, I thought it was, even if everyone else was wearing gloves...), but 10am would still only have gotten vaguely toasty. Central California. Been a bit of a heat wave...

Re: Emi inspired running/workout
Alarm went off at 7:20 as usual this morning. Went "nope" and shut it off. Another alarm at 9:20. Said "nope" for about 30 minutes before saying "hell yeah let's do this." Did a 10/3/10 again, not really much to report. I really need to start getting sleep on weekends, ...

Re: Emi inspired running/workout
Mmm, maybe not :P I generally find that around 3 in the afternoon seems to be my favourite time to do it, as it's pleasant without being too hot or cold. I generally go for a run at about 8/8:30, but I always need at least one day a week to sleep in and didn't get it yesterday. Not yet hot and gets...

Re: Emi inspired running/workout
Did another 10/3/10 this morning. Not really much to report about it, though it did exhaust me a lot more than they have in a while. Maybe running in the midday heat wasn't the wisest idea?

Re: Emi inspired running/workout
Quick sit-rep: the jump from Week 3 to Week 4 is huge: my legs felt like they were gonna fall off today! (Though it didn't help it was blowing a gale, but excuses excuses  ) The sense of achievement you get out of it is larger though, think I'm really starting to get into this. Good to hear, ...

Re: Emi inspired running/workout
OT, I've completed the workout and am looking for something more, as it's not really pushing me anymore, is there some advanced section some where in the thread? Have you seen the Bridge to 10k? On topic, I managed to do the 1.5/2 *6 today with ease as well. I started doing it as a couch to 5k, but...

Re: Emi inspired running/workout
Well, as it turns out I can do the first week with ease, moving on to second week tomorrow which should be a little bit more of a challenge. More rest time I guess though, so it's just a matter of discipline. And for the record, it doesn't appear to be helping the insomnia :( Good to hear you're al...

Status report, private? It's been a few days, and you've included no follow-up to this statement.AaronIsCrunchy wrote:Decided to start the Emi running thing tomorrow, as it's just gone 11:00 at night here and I'm in my pyjamas (though it MIGHT help the old insomnia out... maybe?).
