Re: I absolutely love Lilly! My first play-through and endin
To the OP: how do you feel about the fact that Lilly received the request to live in Scotland permanently before she went on vacation with Hanako and Hisao, and therefore pretty much based her entire relationship with Hisao on a lie (or at least the withholding of truth)? For example, when Lilly cri...

Re: I absolutely love Lilly! My first play-through and endin
Lilly is a Mary Sue. And to round out the argument against your horribly fallacious assertion here, a Mary Sue is an author avatar . The whole point of the trope is that Mary Sues are written by bad fanfic authors as exaggeratedly perfect versions of themselves. The author's unbridled and unashamed...

Re: Other Media that gave you "The Feels."
The only other thing that gave me the feels was the "His Dark Materials" book series by Philip Pullman. Oh for certain. Those were good, and that ending... This is exactly how I feel. The only thing I can remember that hit me as hard as Katawa Shoujo was the end of The Amber Spyglass .

Re: Emi inspired running/workout
I found that I wasn't getting sore anymore after the third day. Stretching before and after helps. I'd like to re-emphasize the importance of stretching. Throughout the whole program, I pretty much blew off the stretching and warm-up recommendations. I would occasionally do a hamstring or quadricep...

I wanted to give her the Comfort version of comfort, not the Breathlessly version of comfort. Oh well =/

Re: Katawa Shoujo Folding@Home Team
I've completed my new computer, and now have my HD 7970 and i7 3770K (overclocked at stock voltage to 4.3Ghz) folding. I have since learned that AMD cards are not nearly as effective at folding as nVidia cards, and that my new 7970 will earn less than half the PPD as my old GTX 460 would have. It al...

Re: Would this be a better game if there was less of it?
I guess all I can really say is I disagree on all counts. You seem like the kind of person who simply doesn't enjoy reading at all, if these are the kinds of things that are bothering you. Katawa Shoujo is already quite short for a visual novel. If anything, I would have liked it to be longer

Re: Bad Endings Before the Good?
I used flowcharts on my first set of playthroughs to ensure I got good endings first. After each good ending, I would go back and get the bad and neutral endings of that route, and then replay the last scene or two of the good ending to pick my spirits back up.

Re: Emi inspired running/workout
From things I've read here and there, I learned that it's best to run early in the morning because it'd quickstart your metabolism. Unless you're exhausting yourself in the night, it's best to be avoided, as it'd make it more difficult for you to fall asleep. Personally, I feel totally drained of e...

Re: Emi inspired running/workout
Seriously SotiCoto, is there something wrong with you? why do you have to be so negative about people running and stuff? He's a troll, my friend. And a really really awful one at that. Honestly, his posts just make me feel embarrassed more than angry most of the time -.- Anyway, the best way to dea...

I feel like I'm reading Is it just me, or is Hanako better off... [Hanako Spoilers] all over again! I guess the nature of this forum is pretty cyclical in general, as older lurkers fade away and freshly feel-ridden KS-noobies show up to replace them. The circle of life, it seems.

Re: If each girl was a fruit, which fruit would they be?
Strawberries really aren't that sweet, though =/ Lilly is an apple. Apparently perfect on the outside and inside, pretty easy to eat but still requires some chewing, favorite of all. Hanako is a fully ripe banana. She's fragile and easy to bruise, and her skin may be speckled with dark patches, but ...

Re: How do deaf people think?
Am I making any sense at all? Definitely, and I agree with you about most of the specifics of translation... I just disagree in its overall effect, I guess. Despite the conversational idiosyncrasies you point out (things like using "Well" as an introductory appositive), I think Hisao and ...

#2 is the original Student Council theme (not found in the full game). Can you provide a link? I'm intrigued... Here you go! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AbgISg8KbK4 Mmm, I like it. That take on the main Student Council theme is pretty mesmerizing, but overall structure of the song is not as good...
