Re: Is there a middle ground?
I don't think intonation is that important in Japanese. It is fundamental in Chinese but in Japanese it isn't. The example used before byouin=びょういん=hospital and biyouin=びよういん. The intonation isn't that important but sometimes the time is (you just sound weird if you talk with the wrong intonation)....

Changes Time has Wrought
For those of you who have been with this project for a while, what has changed over time during your stay? For example, have you had any change of heart with regards to the girls? Who you like or what you thought of them? I personally didn't change my opinions too much, but i did warm up to Emi and ...

Re: Putting it in perspective
I found out about KS from reading one of the journal entries from Megatokyo. This was back when Megatokyo was wacky fun about killing of zombie hoards with cardboard box armies and excessive ordinances as opposed to its current version as and extremely convoluted and rather confusing drama. At the t...

Re: Is there a middle ground?
There was a discussion on this earlier. Lip reading is...imperfect at best. Even for an average person who is familiar with listening to and speaking the language, lip reading is hardly spot on all the time. Asian languages also suffer from being composed of a fairly narrow set of monosyllabic compo...

Re: Now that Shizune's path is done...
Shizune first. Her storyline was the one I enjoyed the most
Hanako
Lilly
Rin. She is fun, but her path will probably make my head hurt.
Emi. Sorry emi
I've been pretty set on this order since I first played the game through, although Rin has moved around a bit.

Goodness, I come back here after a long time and see this. Seeing as that phrase was originally to be used in the event that Britain got invaded during WII, I'm not sure if I should be happy or concerned...

how exactly does the nasal wash actually help with you hearing? I mean, I know that they affect each other, but why?

Re: Version 3 Review
Here's where I mainly disagree. My main gripe when I first heard The Student Council was precisely the terrible violin part. It was wandering without any focus and lacked any sort of phrasing or articulation. While I concede the point that the flute's counter-melody can be a little strong at times,...

Re: Favorite girl.
Shizune is my favorite still. She was the first person I got and I just seemed to become attached to her. It odd since I had thought Hanako was a shoe in for my top spot. I have noticed that Shizune is at the low end of the general popularity levels (excluding emi of course). If I had to guess, I wo...

Re: V1/2 Music VS V3 Music discussion
I said this in the Act 1 feedback thread, but it seems appropriate here also: "The Student Council": This one was very disappointing, not in the least because it used to be my favorite track. The core of the old one was its strong solo violin part. While the violin was not perfect, it work...

Version 3 Review
I had wanted to save this for when I got 100% on ver 3 but that might be a while now so here is what I have noticed so far: Sprites: These two have already been covered ad nauseam so I wont say too much. Emi's sprites look great stylistically but are still in a rough, sketchy form. The lines have no...

Re: If you *actually have* a physical disability, what is it?
Until I read this tread, I did not even realize that the ringing in I sometimes heard was an illness. Tinnitus, huh. I had always thought that it was something that everyone had since my parents also have it. For me its not bad though, and it occurs rarely, so its not a big deal.
