Well, I got a reply, and the guy probably won't be selling them. Can't blame him for that; I wouldn't. XD Also, I'm not sure it's right to sell things inspired by a free game. It does seem he'll continue working on them, though, and they should be done fairly soon.

Then... Shizune is an alien, and doesn't speak because she can't understand OR pronounce Earth's language (communicates on a different frequency), and Misha's her robot that translates for her (messages actually broadcast on super-high-frequencies) and is what the alien bosses think is normal human ...

Probably because it's something that, theoretically, you only do as a child. The results could just mean that everyone here is really lonely... or it could be that most people just THINK few people do things like skip tiles, and Hisao's like that. Either way, it's kind of interesting.

Brought up in the Favorite Quotes thread, where several people mentioned having actually done it. So, I'm curious; how many of the people hanging out around here have played the tile game Hanako does? Within, say, the last two years? Also, any thoughts on what this says about those of us who have?

I don't really do it with colored tiles very often (location issues), but there are places with these little lines on the tiles going horizontally or vertically.

Not gonna happen. A better solution is to allow regional and cultural languages, but also mandate that everyone learns a common trade language for communication with people outside their own group.
