Re: Emi inspired running/workout
It's been really raining here for the past few days, but I went for a run today anyway. First time running in the rain, and it's definitely a different beast!

Re: Emi inspired running/workout
I did go running last week, just forgot to post then. Whoops. Went for a run today too. Not really much worth noting here, though I did have a wacky dream before getting up for it. I'll probably go up to a 5/3/8/3/5 cycle next week from my current 8/5/8. It's getting pretty easy, and from my experie...

Re: Emi inspired running/workout
A while back I said that I'd run solely to keep this thread alive, if need be. And here I am, the only poster... After disgracing myself and skipping my run last week, I got my butt out there this week for another 8/5/8 run. Went easier than last time did. Kinda odd looking back at being challenged ...

Re: Emi inspired running/workout
I hate to doublepost, but this thread's not exactly been active lately... Decided to mix things up today. Instead of doing my usual 5/3/5/3/5, I went for a 8/5/8. Considering how much my usual wears me out, I completely expected the 8-minute stretches to kick my butt. I surprised myself by getting t...

Re: Emi inspired running/workout
We all gotta start somewhere. Welcome, thanks for posting, and best wishes for your future!
And don't feel bad about not running. She's ecstatic that you're just moving and getting fit!

Re: Emi inspired running/workout
I seem to be a tad late to the party, but I just thought I would post and say that going through this wonderful VN has inspired me to try to get myself into shape as it has done so for apparently quite a few others. Starting on the couch to 5k tomorrow morning, and will do my best to stick to it! B...

Re: Emi inspired running/workout
Instead of the usual 3/1.5/5/2.5/3/1.5/5 I've been sticking with for a while, I went for a 5/3/5/3/5 pattern. Kicked my butt, but I managed to make it through without any handicaps.

Re: Emi inspired running/workout
Also, I must say, it did feel good to run like that... I'm actually kind of looking forward to doing it again, now. So, we've drawn another victim into our trap...*evil laughter* Good to hear that you've started running! If you can keep it up for the first two times, it gets a whole lot easier and ...

Bravo, lad. It takes a lot of courage to open up with such a personal story, even if "just" typing it out for an online forum.

Though I'm praying this will be the last serious one I ever send her, I'll keep that in mind for any future endeavors in failures.rterman wrote:When you send her emails in future, play Cold Iron in the background.

Re: Hanako's Broken Heart Club
Unfortunately, I couldn't get a moment with her at school today. Lunch I had a meeting sprung on me that took almost the entire time, and after school I couldn't find her. Drawing upon my powers of typing, I have sent her an email apologizing for being such an idiot. Today's been that kind of day wh...

Re: Hanako's Broken Heart Club
Let me say this to start: I rarely seek advice with romantic troubles, and am awkward with words besides, so this post may be difficult to understand. I had this crush on a female friend I go to school with since about May or so. Even though a mutual friend told her about it, neither of us took any ...

Re: Emi inspired running/workout
After being grounded for too long by traveling, school, and sickness, I finally got back on the trail again today. Despite a lingering congestion (still getting over a cold, sickest in morning/night), it went by smoothly. Sticking with the 3/1.5/5/2.5/3/1.5/5 pattern for the forseeable future, at le...

Re: Emi inspired running/workout
It's called a guide and not a law for a reason. If you don't like sticking with it, feel free to do your own thing (as long as that thing still involves running, of course).
