Re: Rin's Path discussion *spoilers*
I didn't have too much to add to this thread; but I do think the art teacher is possibly the least understanding / likable "adult" in the game. While Shizune's father is not quite... collected, considering Noiya's position as an educator in Yamaku. He seems to be overbearing and rather tac...

Re: Has anyone else appreciated the music this much?
I am a little surprised to some of these weren't mentioned; maybe it's just the scenes they are introduced in the game, but whenever I go through the jukebox, these are what I feel: Afternoon - progress, a sense of accomplishment, renewed energy and focused thoughts without being rushed. Ah Eh I Oh ...

Re: This game punched me in the philosophy.
Thank you for that heartfelt post Weaver, your thoughts echoed many of my own experience, and believe it not, also answered a few questions and erased a few self-doubts I had. From moving across the world (leaving a lot of close people behind) to volatile breakups (so many things went wrong, but not...

Re: Has anyone else appreciated the music this much?
The music files (OST?) are available if you google it. I think they are in .ogg format; 140kbs CBR, if I recall correctly. The speeding up portion in "Stride" always caused me to be apprehensive for some reason... because I think all the grim parts of the music were much more meaningful th...

Re: This game punched me in the philosophy.
I think you coped much better than I did, Popo. May I ask what your approximate age range is? (I apologize first if this is against the rules) To explain, I understand all too well the feelings you speak of, those of being a hopeless romantic and blindly devoted fool. But unlike you, I have only man...

Re: Emotional Impact
It took a very long time to come to terms with the emotional impacts of this game. I saw the video reactions/responses, and I can say is that those folks are braver than I am. I applaud them for being able to be so frank and willing to share their feelings. I'm wondering if those that chose Hanako/L...

Re: I can't play this "game" anymore.
Reflecting on my own past, and some of the heart-wrenching scenes in the game, I really doubt the wisdom of the ones who said:
It is better to have loved and lost, than to never have loved at all.
I respectfully disagree; it almost feels like ignorance is bliss can be justified here...

Re: Is Hisao's Presence Useless in Hanako's Route?
Just noticed I edited out something that Feuver was referring to. I did, completely forget about Hanako's time frame... however in Shiznue's "Advanced Game Theory" scene, Hanako is already there playing chess. This is prior to Lilly leaving for Scotland (since Lilly and Akira met at Shiznu...

Re: Is Hisao's Presence Useless in Hanako's Route?
I was thinking the same thing while playing Lilly's route after finishing Hanako's. My own heart skipped a beat during the scene where Hanako saw Hisao hugging Lilly. I must have froze for a few minutes while cursing Hisao with obscenities for being so inconsiderate, before clicking to see the after...

Re: that feel when you cry after Hanako's route
I agree...
Though this also made me feel fairly bad playing Lilly's route as I was worrying about Hanako the entire time... (anyone did this too?)
Fortunately... the writers took care of Hanako in Lilly's route too... what a wonderful relief...

Re: I can't play this "game" anymore.
I am very glad to see that I'm not the only one with this issue, and for the folks sharing their experiences... thank you. After playing through Hanako's route... and receiving the neutral ending before the good... I didn't want to play anymore... I felt like I would be "cheating" and the ...

Re: that feel when you cry after Hanako's route
Only if the dreams were not haunting reminders of what once was... Realizing now how much damage was "hidden" in the neutral ending after seeing the good ending... My tears were not those of happiness, but of what harm I may have ultimately done... Perhaps one day I can come to terms with ...

Re: Happiest route *no spoilers please*
I have been hesitant to share my feelings on this game on the forums out of... general shyness I suppose, but I think this is a good thread to start so I registered to make this post. While I agree with ukotaku's ranking (Hanako>Lilly>Emi>Rin>Shizune), I think happiness is completely subjective... e...
