Re: Yamaku Book Club ( Phantom Pains: Mirror Shoujo)

This was interesting. Alternate reality stories tend to be poor, especially in the hands of inexperienced writers but in this case it wasn't all that bad. Personality switches among the main cast could have easily ended up being jarring, but the story didn't take itself seriously and it worked - thi...

Re: Yet another one-shot thread

Cute! I can totally imagine a bookworm like Hanako losing herself in Wikipedia. At least it's not a TV Tropes addiction. :D

That's right, I didn't think to check what the actual disease was, I just saw the short, limited lifespan and thought of Saki.

Speaking of MC's condition, did you have an actual disease in mind Oddball?

Re: A Day In the Life

I didn't agree with everything you considered an error though. Fair enough, some of them were subjective I suppose. It's a bit dated slang but I felt it fit the character. Oh it definitely fits, I just thought it was something new, definitely not dated. That would work as well, but she was referrin...

Re: A Day In the Life

This was lovely Oddball! Your main character is great, kind of like a mix of Emi (the upbeat attitude and sassiness) and Suzu from Scissorlips' route (the low attention span internal monologues). You didn't use a single canon girl (well, Yuuko) and have still managed to create an entire world full o...

Re: Yamaku Book Club (Double feature!)

Heartbreak Minor SPaG issues all around, but no point in complaining about that. I enjoyed this bitter and cynical version of post-Lilly Hisao. He's even more pathetic than he was when he first arrived at Yamaku. Shame it ended there though, would have been interesting to see how that phone call go...

Re: Student Council Sessions: Love and War

Hey, thanks for your feedback! I'm surprised you were able to find so many grammar/sentence structuring issues.. but I suppose it's just more to look out for in the future fics ;D I've seen much, much worse so for a first time fic I think you are doing ok :) Also, I'm happy you liked my Rin! She's ...

Re: Student Council Sessions: Love and War

This is my very first fanfic of really any sort. Congrats on finishing your first fanfic! Most people tend to lose steam a few hundred words in, so you are already ahead of the pack. Some minor feedback below. Emi seems bored at best, probably uninterested by Shizune’s calling of us to the student ...

Re: Empty Nest for the Holidays — A tremendously late 8S story for Scratchminus

By the way, I see you never had her address Nurse directly, thus avoiding the "do I give him an actual name" debate - and I'd be a hypocrite to call you wrong for doing so!) I think it was an excellent way to handle this. The POV switch was timed perfectly; just as Meiko needs to refer to...

Re: Empty Nest for the Holidays — A tremendously late 8S story for Scratchminus

Cute story! Though I wish there was one more scene with the Christmas dinner as well. Oh well :) “Relax mom, I’m just staying over at Hisao’s house for Christmas, not going on some extreme hike up a treacherous mountain.” Is that an Ascent reference? :) “Mrs. Can’t-Find-My-Cute-Underwear.” Ms.

Re: Shizune's "Good" Ending -- Sad or Happy?

he's talking about how he and his based basic bae go around dabbing thots because they're so extra. I guess I'm too old to be "with it" anymore, so can someone please translate this for me? [lots of interesting points] I wish a22 was still around to at least share his POV with us and help...

Re: Shizune's "Good" Ending -- Sad or Happy?

Shizune is my favourite character, despite not having the most enjoyable route. Compared to others (say, Lilly's cliché Hollywood fairytale) it doesn't even bother with the " they've met, hooked up, spent a few months together and lived happily ever after " approach most other routes take....

Re: Dreamy

Wow, just... wow . A most excellent piece crafty, well done. I've especially loved your Rin ; it matches her character - or, at least, my impression of it - perfectly. Also, I needed practice with smut [...] before moving on with my main route. I think you did well, mostly. I've found Epic to be som...

Re: Yamaku Book Club (20180611 'Lost Opportunities')

Nice little story and wow, quite an old one. It reminds me a bit of Meiko and Goro in Developments.
