Re: Discussion - Emi Route (*Spoilers* Warning)

Emi's route was definately an interesting one. Although Hanako is still my favorite, it should be noted that I initially got into Emi's route when I played the Act 1 Demo for the very first time. That being said, after having finished Hanako's path first, I wasn't expecting Emi's story to be able t...

Re: Lilly's Route

Me to! Except I know that none of my friends, or the people around here would understand it ( except for my best friend ), And I totally agree, I don't think anything except a sequel or other similar VN will be able to make me feel this way again. :3 I really, really, really hope there isn't any so...

Re: First Time- Getting to involved - what do you think?

If you browse the discussions for the different paths or some other reaction threads, I believe you'll find you're most definitely not unusual. People are taking this game in all sorts of different ways. Some people are taking it pretty rough. It's amazing to see a game do that, and also to see so m...

Re: A silly question about game progression?

You ended up with Emi because it's probably the easiest route to just sort of accidentally stumble into. All the choices you make in Act I affect which girl's path you get into beginning with Act II, so basically you just need to go back and make different decisions, ones you think will help you gai...

Re: I can't play this "game" anymore.

Done three of the five routes so far and I think I'm going to take a little break before doing the rest (mainly Rin). Same here. I did Emi first, was blown away, then Lilly (which I liked), and then started to feel really burned out by the time I finished Rin. I saved Hanako and Shizune (as the two...

Re: People have gone Visual-Novel crazy thanks to KS. Inspir

I had the exact same thought as you after Emi's route. Go running -- get in shape, get some fresh air, clear my head. Like Hisao, though, it would be a lot easier to get out there if I had a running partner. KS also inspired me to get back to my writing, and it's going better every day. Maybe I'll f...

Re: This game punched me in the philosophy.

The masquerade is almost universal among humans, due to self-preservation instincts for one's own emotions. Nobody can ever maintain it perfectly, though, and the beauty comes in the moments when two costumed fools allow each other to delicately remove pieces of each other's masks, getting peeks at...

Re: Paths you would play again?

If I'm randomly trying to find something to do? Never. They're too long and emotionally straining to just take on when I'm a little bored. That said, I don't doubt for a moment I'll go back and replay all of them, probably a number of times. Like someone else said, it's like going back and rereading...

Re: Discussion - Emi Route (*Spoilers* Warning)

Oh, also, about that bad end. I saw it after getting the good end and it still damn near crushed my soul. The parting words between the two of them quite literally hurt me. It was so hurtful. Even I couldn't stand to see it end like that and I wasn't a part of their relationship or even their world...

Re: I can't play this "game" anymore.

I cannot stop panicking... Really... ^_^ The attachment... Well thought VN... It's got me completely out of sorts as well; not sure I'd call it panicking, though. I'm staying up super late, hardly eating, can't really interact with actual human beings because I'm so distracted... doesn't sound heal...

Emi's bad end is especially crushing -- I know what you mean. I thankfully didn't get it the first time. Still, you can always go back and do things right. Trust me, it's worth it.

Re: General Endings Sadness (No Spoilers)

I agree. I've completed(and gotten the good endings for) Lilly, Emi, and Shizune so far and it not only bothers me that you're given virtually no epilogue whatsoever, not all of the stories even go through the entire school year. I understand that going in depth with epilogues would be a considerab...

Re: Discussion - Emi Route (*Spoilers* Warning)

What scene exactly? I just went back and chose all the other options in Emi's path. The image you're looking for I think only comes up if you follow Emi when she walks away from the table at her mother's house and then you still manage to get the good end by confiding in Misha when she asks you abo...

Re: Online Japanese KS reception

Whatever. This game wasn't made for the Japanese. It wasn't really made for anybody except the devs, really. I was going to say something along these lines. Given how profoundly the game has affected some of us over here... I found it beautiful and heartbreaking, and if they don't get it in Japan, ...
