If you want something more visual, there is the Visual Novel template for Unreal Engine. It is not free, and not worth the $50 it normally is priced at. But it goes on sale regularly for a far lower price. It is easy to expand, and can do things RenPy simply cannot.

Has the OP ever actually played the route? The direct text within it discredits the claims made. And without the route text there is no basis for the discussion to begin with.
