Re: Ask!
Did any particular track of yours resonate with you more than the others during the composition process? If so, would you care to share which one and why? What was the last track you composed for KS? Excluding the various resampling and tweaks that followed. Finally, though a generic question and o...

Re: Ask!
This one is directed at NicolArmarfi, Did you take any lessons regarding music? Enrolled to a school of music or just taken private lessons? Was anyone from your family involved in music? How did you get interested in? I wonder your lifestory about music in general, how it started, how you improved...

Re: Ask!
Did anyone from the original team request payment for their services? As far as I'm aware, no. It was made pretty clear from the start that it was a voluntary project, and no positions would be paid. Btw, why does Blue123 have relatively lesser contribution to soundtrack compared to Nicol? Blue joi...

Re: Ask!
What audio software did you use to compose and arrange these pieces? I used Finale for all notation and sequencing, and I believe blue used Sibelius. I used FL studio for rendering. Where there any particular sound banks/samples that you stuck to using or did you just grab what you needed from wher...

Re: Ask!
Would there be any chance of any additions to Katawa Shoujo OST in, say, some future versions? I mean, if the musical devs who worked on this project are still working on some new music, or if you had a new dev for OSTs- well, whatever, you got the point. Is there any chance that future versions wi...

Re: Ask!
I have a question to the dev team, but it's more specifically aimed at Nicol. Air Guitar's piano arrangement sounds strangely... genuine. I mean, in the sense that this is how the tune was supposed to sound like from the very beginning. Air Guitar is probably my favourite KS song, but there's somet...

Re: Piano Sheet Music?
The bottom staff is just some extra pizzicato notes I put in at the last minute. It's not important as far as the musical structure goes, just adds a bit more texture.Wormy wrote:What is the bottom staff, by the way? I must be missing something.

Hey there,
Noticed you guys are having some trouble with Painful History. While I was looking at some of my old stuff just now I came across the original score for it, so I figured I'd drop it here for you.

Re: Katawa Shoujo at Anime Expo 2013
I couldn't find the table, and I didn't find any of the names the table could be listed under in the program book. (Katawa Shoujo, Four Leaf Studios, 4LS) Did the table fall through or did AX just accidentally forget to list the group in the program? Or did I just not look close enough? :C The indi...

Re: Ask!
On the topic of music, I was wondering if there were any other video game soundtracks that had an influence on the KS soundtrack. Were there any that had such a big impact that you used some similar elements in your own work, or even inspired you to start working in your respective field? I'm a hug...

Re: Ask!
2) I read that the game took 5 years to develop, but I believe this was basically done in your spare time, so what I was wondering is how many hours of work (approximately, of course) have gone into this? The amount of time everyone spent working on KS varied greatly. Some people consistently put h...

Re: Ask!
Were some of the songs deliberately borrowing motifs from each other, or was that a natural part of the process of writing them within a certain timeframe? If so, did you provide annotation as to which were related and how? I'm curious based on some of the usage. I like connecting different pieces ...

Re: Ask!
Did any of the artists or musicians get to read KS as it was written or at all during its development? If so, did KS affect you or how you lived in any significant way? We all had access to KS as it was written, as well as the artwork as it was being made and the gamescript as it was being directed...

Re: Ask!
Music question, I know the animations were made first with the music added in (presumably to sync up with it) afterwards, but I'm wondering about how the rest of the music came about. That's kinda vague, so to explain, I mean another chicken or the egg question. Was it a case of "Okay, we need...
