Re: Emi inspired running/workout
Been acclimating myself to daily exercise for a few weeks now with hour-long walks. General stamina is improved a lot, breathing is more controlled during exertion (still untrue of running), and the unholy lower back pain I typically suffer from walking a lot (my physical condition causes an unnatur...

Re: Finally giving KS a chance
I do not know if it's healthy for me to like media that appeals to my interests... Can't change the main character's name. Can't look at the .rpy files. the story starts out slow Some of the backgrounds appear to be actual photographs. Unfortunately, it does not seem that the main character can ref...

Re: Thoughts on the H-scenes?
Pfeh. I don't see why it can't be called both. On a purely literal basis, I could make a case for both. If anything, I'd think that being able to be called a 'dating sim' would be a point of pride for Katawa Shoujo-- it's evidence that such a thing as a good dating sim can, in fact, exist. (I would...

Re: Emotional Attachment to the Forum?
I've heard novels were something extremely hard to write indeed. I admit i am curious about what sort of fanfiction you wrote about, though. Two are KS. Never posted anywhere. Two are based on Minecraft, which is a great source because the world's already there but still largely blank by nature of ...

Re: If you could bully Hanako in the game...
When my units are fully developed in an Ogre Battle game, they're always on chaotic alignments. Not sure what that says about me. Just today in Red Dead Redemption, some asshole was trying to get money from me in exchange for information (some random guy's location)...Well, I thought he was kind of...

Re: Thoughts on the H-scenes?
I liked that the sex scenes weren't there strictly for the purpose of being, to use Xanatos' word, 'fappable' (as they are in-- let's be honest-- most similar games. At least the ones that I've seen). I totally appreciate that, because it's so easy to let that be the mindless goal of stupid dating ...

That and the failed remnants of novels. The fanfiction is decent.Dream wrote:Fanfiction i assume?Xanatos wrote:I'm an author in the sense that I wrote stuff, once.

I wasn't aware there was any tiptoeing.Banryu wrote:Considering that most mainstream game devs these days more or less tiptoe around their audience like we're made of china, I found such a punch in the face quite refreshing.

Aw, I like Cracked...And I've gotten both of those before. xD To be fair, most of the people who send them death threats/hate mail tend to be crazy or assholes anyways, so they don't seem to be too bothered by it. Also, i'm surprised you got hate mail, i always thought that published authors or sim...

Re: jesse does katawa shoujo!
I thought the guys over at MetaDating did a pretty good LP. Having different people reading each character helps a LOT. Even if they did giggle way too damn much. In their defense, the parts they played through were not all that serious/dramatic yet, and I know I for one didn't know how serious thi...

Re: Hanako's Broken Heart Club
I asked because I myself am a believer of fate (but not so much on predestination). I believe that some people (such as myself) are just meant to be miserable and alone. Correction: You do believe in predestination because that's what fate is . And your second statement there is in blatant support ...
