Re: The truth about Emi's first relationship.
Miss Yumi: “That’s good to hear. May I suggest we try a week without sleeping pills again and see if things remain that way? The worst weeks should be behind us for now.” Yeah, I figured Hanako had nightmare spells at certain times of the year, just like Emi. (around the anniversary of her accident...

Re: The truth about Emi's first relationship.
Yes, Emi works on her issues. They are not perfect yet, but she tries. No, she doesn't. The entire conflict in her route is that she doesn't work on them. She deliberately avoids acknowledging them wherever possible. She ignores the limitations put upon her by her physical issues (and ends up in a ...

Apparantly. It's on the same page I linked to earlier. Here to be exact. The avoiding troublesome situations fixation can go pretty far.Holy shit really?

Re: Thoughts after Lilly's path
You know, sometimes I think I'd like to visit Japan. Then I'm reminded that Japan is apparently Uptight Bullshit: The Nation. Eh, visiting isn't a problem. They don't really expect foreigners to live according to their rules and if you mess up, they generally don't complain about it. Just don't get...

Re: Thoughts after Lilly's path
Lily's main weakness is her desire for her parents' approval. Notice how she jumped at the chance when her parents summoned her to Scotland? This also feeds into her other problem of not letting others know about her emotions. She has her down points, but she actively hides it from others. Lilly's ...

Re: Thoughts after Lilly's path
And yet it happens all the time. Hanako spends a lot of her time reading in the library without Lilly around. Lilly spends a good deal of time interacting with other friends in whose presence, presumably, Hanako wouldn't feel comfortable.

Re: So, is Hanako a Nerd?
Honestly, it all could have fallen apart so easily just from a lack of everyone communicating their feelings. Neither Hisao nor Hanako are extremely open people by nature and Lilly also has the tendency to keep her own feelings on certain things private. Why exactly she becomes depressed and isolat...

Re: So, is Hanako a Nerd?
How is it that I disagree with a lot of this? Lilly isn't just some overbearing, motherly person that wants everything her way or else. She doesn't strike me as someone that's easy to drive away, unless you would constantly ignore her advice or pity her and feel sorry for her. I think that's made c...

Re: So, is Hanako a Nerd?
Nah, I think Oddball's pretty on the mark. Lilly doesn't conciously look down on Hanako, btw, this is just the way she comes across due to her mothering attitude towards others. (she also mothers Akira and I'd be very surprised if she looked down on her own elder sister) I too think that Hanako deep...

Re: So, is Hanako a Nerd?
I was just re-watching Hanako's bad ending, and one thing bothers me a bit. Hanako makes the comment that she can tell everyone thinks shes broken, and that Lilly dotes on her like a child. I have to wonder if she thinks this way even in her good path, but just never works up the courage to say it....

Re: The truth about Emi's first relationship.
No. It was never the guy's duty to fix Emi's trauma for her or put up with the stonewalling for an extended amount of time. It was a highschool relationship, not a marriage. The guy started it with certain expectations and broke it off when it became clear that Emi wasn't able to meet those expectat...

I believe Hanako's right ear was visible in the CG where she was playing Shizune and there wasn't anything missing as far as I recall.

Re: So, is Hanako a Nerd?
Not necessarily. Bullying does take place on the workfloor. It's just more subtle than the childish name-calling you see in elementary school.YZQ wrote:At least, out when you're working, you'll be treated as an equal as long as you pull your weight.

Re: Evangelium [Hanako x Lilly's Bad End]
I had always expected Hanako to be suicidal because she was suffering from so much insecurities and failures. She even mentioned being bullied. Hanako was indeed bullied a lot and yes, she has a truckload of insecurities because of it. But the question remains: if she was suicidal, why didn't she k...

Re: So, is Hanako a Nerd?
What I think Dream was getting at is whether it'd be a good idea for Hanako to pick a job that would be catered to her shut-in tendencies rather than one that challenged her to address them.
