Re: Hanako's Broken Heart Club

I can cook in the sense of "Burn this meat slab until it's done" but I'm not a good judge of how different ingredients and spices will work together so I'm limited to the most basic stuff. And I have a salt problem...And we rely a bit much on microwaved stuff and fast food. Tonight's leftover black...

My sides... HHHNNNNNNNGGGGGGGGGG!!!!
Your sides? Your heart is where your kidneys are supposed to be? What's in place of your heart, an extra stomach? Are you a mutant?

My brain does funny things when I go into Rin-mode.

Re: Funny and weird OS. [HisaoXCharacters]

Makes perfect sense to me... What's everyone so apprehensive about? One doesn't just come across that kind of idea by accident or as a random thought - it takes careful aim. There had to be some kind of climactic event to open the mind to the possibility. It would be a little death for all of us to ...

Re: Hanako's Broken Heart Club

Cooking is basic chemistry and practical physical science. Combining different materials together, mixing them homogeneously, and applying various energy sources to alter their chemical bonds resulting in altered flavor and nutritional values. Of course, that's the technical explanation. Cooking rea...

Tear out your living, beating heart and shove a dagger through it before you slip into peaceful eternity.

Re: Touchdown Breakdown (Updated 7/20/2012)

She seems to think that everyone will fear her or hate her or whatever, and I don't think it's adequately explained why. I don't wanna step on toes, but after reading the dream sequence, particularly her insight into 'seeing red' and an apparent flashback to pounding someone into the pavement, I th...

Re: Tomorrow's Doom - Aiko Kurai (OC) Updated 7/20

I suppose it's possible I just think too well of Shizune, but I keep seeing her actions as her way of telling Aiko, "Dammit! Why aren't you moving any faster on Hisao?" I'll just say I'm happy you can't tell one way or the other. Since all we know is what Aiko knows, all our information is second-h...

Re: Touchdown Breakdown (Updated 7/20/2012)

Guess who found a ten-year-old copy of MS Office and spell-checked everything he's ever written in his life and almost died from the sheer number of awful typos? THIS GUY. OpenOffice.org , my friend. It's not perfect, but it's a thousand steps above Notepad or Wordpad, and it's free. Now that I've ...

Re: A pseudo-pseudo Suzu route (updated 7/20)

“It's getting red.” Hisao remarks, and I look down at the skin around my knee. “Th-that's okay.” I say, still blushing a little. “It's a good thing. Increased blood flow, or something like that.” Good thing she mentioned it's her knee he's observing... My brain left that part out when I read those ...

I think you're missing the hypothetical part of the question. This is personal speculation, not directive.

Re: Sign-Names

A better way to phrase the question might be: If you were part of a signing community, how would you expect them to refer to you, or, rather, what do you think they might end up referring to you as? Assuming they don't just finger-spell your name -which sounds like a tedious and inefficient affair.

Re: A pseudo-pseudo Suzu route (updated 7/20)

I dunno what to say, really. Not a whole lot happened, but a whole lot happened... know what I mean? Suzu remains delightfully erratic and adorable; it's no wonder Hisao cannot resist her charms.

She needs to wake up and realize that at some point - so to speak.

Chapter 9 - Tactical Studies

Another early-rise, and some time spent editing, and I'm posting my insomnia-related musings again today. This particular chapter took some work to get to flow right, and I'm still not completely sure I was successful. I've settled into chapters that hover between 5500 and 6500 words, which I think...
