The Kenji Files; Ibarazaki and Setou (Updated 08/08/13)

I was bored about an hour ago, so I opened up a new OpenOffice file and started writing something based on this forum thread post I made a few days ago. If this goes anywhere, you can all blame Hoitash for putting the idea in my head. That makes two stories of mine you can blame him for, actually. ...

Re: Shower Scenes

Looking at that, I'd probably start by pronouncing it similar to "seeker", but that's probably wrong. "seck-err" might be more accurate. "say-Kerr" or "say-Kurr" might also be more accurate. It lacks vowels to lead the sounds where my name is filled with an excessive number of vowels: Thibeault - It...

Re: So fellow KS-forums users, how does KS motivate you?

using dialogue to describe what was going on instead of looking through someone's eyes. Common mistake. Doing it through dialogue is often easier but quality will be lower...Like a convenience meal. Yeah, reading up on it, I discovered it's a common mistake among younger writers. It can be difficul...

Re: Music that makes you think of KS

I posted this in another thread, but it applies here. I added my thoughts on why in parenthesis. Songs that fit each character (missing Nomiya, Sea and Meiko): Miki - Leader by Bif Naked (just seems right for her never-say-die attitude) Suzu - Wonderboy by Tenacious D (fantasy mixed with reality see...

Re: So fellow KS-forums users, how does KS motivate you?

I don't think anything in particular motivated me, but it helped me gain some perspective. Honestly, I've never read anything like it - not so plainly, anyway. Most of my reading has been spent on fantasy and science fiction novels, and they're not genres known for hitting on interpersonal relations...

Outwardly, perhaps - publically I mean. Alone with someone, it seems like something she'd suggest.

The quiet ones are always like that.

Re: Hisao and Kenji- Master Detectives! 7/21 Updated

Dammit, I had to skip my raid-finder queue to read this... That's a 20-minute wait. It's all your fault! I'll edit this with comments on the story once I finish... Bastard. ...WoW or RIFT? WoW, of course. I have too long a history with WoW and don't know anyone who plays Rift, so I didn't end up st...

Dammit, I had to skip my raid-finder queue to read this... That's a 20-minute wait. It's all your fault! I'll edit this with comments on the story once I finish... Bastard. We continued down the hall in single file for. what for? There was also a paragraph break in the middle of a sentence somewhere...

Re: Things KS taught me

Katawa Shoujo taught me that no matter what country you flee to, stupid divorced from reality conspiracy theorists are everywhere, and you will never be free from stupid people. Having read your posts around the forums for the past few weeks, I'm surprised you didn't already know that going into re...

Re: Shower Scenes

Hey, you'd be surprised how many people have trouble with my surname (see my username.) It's spelled like it sounds. Replace the I with a Y, and people get it... My last name contains 9 letters - 5 of which are superfluous. I have heard so many horrible variations of it it's not even funny. Dozens ...

Re: Chapter 10 - Making Waves

I've really been writing this at a ridiculous speed (at least by my standard), so posting a new chapter daily isn't terribly surprising. You're spoiling us! Meh, I don't see a reason to hold back when I have stuff done. I was about 4 chapters ahead for a while. As for the thread with Shizune's 'col...

Chapter 10 - Making Waves

I've really been writing this at a ridiculous speed (at least by my standard), so posting a new chapter daily isn't terribly surprising. I still have two following chapters completed ahead of this one. Previous | Next _________________________________________________________________ Chapter 10 – Ma...

Re: Shower Scenes

My middle name is Gerard. It's also my dad's middle name, but he uses it as his first name. His first name is Gill, but he goes by G. Gerard. Our last name is even more impossible to pronounce correctly without a background in French. Most commonly people replace the 'r' with an 'l' and call him Ger...
