Re: Is katawa Shoujo the gateway drug of visual novels?
That's really not surprising actually. Visual novels are a pretty limited medium, and god knows even anime (the majority of it anyway) could get awfully boring after a while if it weren't for all the pretty visuals, since it tends to be so formulaic. Not to mention the extremely high crap-to-gold r...

Re: If You Dream of August
This was really touching ^_^ Took me a bit to figure out it was from Shizune's point of view, though ">_> Probably says more about me than the writings, though :P Actually, hiding the narrator is something I like to do in short KS stories. I think most of them employ the method. A habit, or style, ...

Re: The future
Can't really say that the things we have chosen to not include in the game were scrapped because they are too cool for KS.
In before someone makes a VN with Shinji as the main character.
If you're talking about ideas for other stories in general, sure we got dozens of them.

Re: The future
It's not that our lives are boring, but we'd have to kill you if you find out who we actually work for.

Re: The future
Well, everyone is free to conduct themselves as they will on the internet. If some KS fans were to exchange a/s/ls and addresses, hook up, have steamy cripple cosplay sex, find out that they are in fact wonderful people, fall in love, get married, have children and play KS with them every day, that'...

Re: The future
Hahahaha you kidding nigga. Creepiest post of the month.
We know about each other more than you know about us, but less than we know about most of our real life friends (I think). We are friends on the internet. Who we are outside of our KS dev work is none of your business.

Re: The future
If we're talking about making VNs only, going pro would be insanely unrealistic in general, in addition to the fact that this is just something we do as a hobby. The market for them is tiny and ridden with rampant piracy. If we're talking about writing/arting/musicing/etc as a profession, well that'...

I find myself agreeing with this.Bara wrote:My opinion is that since this is a VN made without commercial intent; any sort of case or cover should also be fan oriented and screw the phony commercial crud that government regulations inflict on our eyes.

Re: The future
We aren't against it as such, in fact at least I vastly prefer a more coherent overarching story (Saya no Uta, though it's kinda extreme case. The Dreaming is a good one too) than a parallel universe style paths that diverge heavily (KS). However it's much harder to pull off, even if you'd be satisf...

January 08, so this was some months after that was scrapped. Whether you still thought it was a good idea, I couldn't say.cpl_crud wrote:I think delta acutally set up the poll to gauge people's ideas back when I still thought Grid 1 was a good idea.

Re: The future
I seem to remember hearing that Aura came up with a basic outline that everyone else went from, but are we talking about shared plot milestones or was it more of a basic "Yamaku has a festival here, field trips here, exams here" kind of thing? For Act 1 only. The path scenarios are by their respect...

Re: Favorite girl.
No, the poll has been around for ages and the manipulation happened some time after Act 1 release, but I can't remember exactly when. I bet there is a post or two about it though so read through the thread and see.

Re: Favorite girl.
Fwiw, before the poll was manipulated, Hanako was in the lead and Rin in second place.
