Re: Emi inspired running/workout

Good thing I had to get up early today, because the high is supposed to be 81 F.

So, is it weird that I lost count of my laps, did an extra one, and feel completely normal? Because I'm having a hard time coming to grips with it myself.

Re: The Manila Tales –A Summer-ish Series (Updated 6/5)

It just had to be Michigan, didn't it?(I'm an OSU fan :) ) You are fortunate I'm not from UofM (stuck up Wolverines....) Not much to say, since it's still mostly buildup, so I'll just say I'm looking forward to where this is going. Thanks, I'll try not to disappoint :) Also I'll join the gro...

it cuts the flight time in about half Why? Supersonic Jet? Layover; something to do with Sendai being a regional airport, I think. Being a private flight, Sarif can just go straight there. “Hisao Nakai, Hanako’s wife and Kenji’s partner. Wife? Okay, so I didn't get a needle shoved in my arm today (...

Re: The Manila Tales –A Summer-ish Series (Updated 6/5)

"It’s okay once you get passed the ear pop.” I had to read this twice because I was sooooooo confused. I wondered what was being passed. :D This chapter gave me a bit of trouble, so I'm not surprised I frakked up the editing. This is no excuse, but explains it, at least. Sorry folks. If it makes yo...

I have no idea to what you are referring. Those errors were clearly a plant by Nurglite scum to undermine my glorious plans for Yukon bear hunting!

Part III: Mundane prosthetics were expensive enough, so not every Yamaku student missing a limb had one –or even needed one. Besides, the body rejected the neural implants required for augments to work if the brain wasn’t fully developed. Still tracing and fingering the augment intently, I absently ...

Re: The Manila Tales –A Summer-ish Series (Updated 6/5)

Part II: The Setou’s had told me a bit about the Nakai’s, including some helpful information about the children. That information had included their ages; Akio was almost twelve, Satomi was ten, and Refia had recently turned five. So despite the age difference, I was entirely unsurprised that Akio a...

“Beyond that, we knew… precious little about the man, the real man.” –Hisao Nakai, Hisao and Kenji: Master Detectives! Previous Chapter Chapter Two: The Founder’s Tale I didn’t train on weekends, but I did swim –though not as many laps as I normally would- so it was a bit weird getting up, eating, a...

Re: Emi inspired running/workout

Did it get really freaking hot out for you guys? Because about 20 minutes in today, I was frying. Where do you live? :P I usually set off around 6am, so the worst I ever get is soaked feet from the morning dew. Ah. Perhaps it's a New York thing then. Don't worry, here in Michigan it is also annoyin...

Re: The Manila Tales –A Summer-ish Series

I had recently started writing a story (completely unrelated to KS) and getting frustrated by the lack of feedback, and then I thought I should do unto others as I would have them do unto me. Not that I have anything interesting to say here - I just want you to know that you're my favourite writer ...

Re: The Manila Tales –A Summer-ish Series

Great story as always, Hoitash. :D Thanks, I try (occasionally I succeed) Btw was that just part 1? Indeed, Chapter Two should be posted on Thursday, as shall every chapter (hopefully) barring August 20 (if this is still running) because I'll be at Gen Con. Fear not, folks, I have an army of highly...

Re: The Manila Tales –A Summer-ish Series

Although that begs the question why the Nakai's have a timeshare in the Philippines in the first place.... No, that raises the question. Begging the question is a logical fallacy , where the conclusion of an argument is also a premise of the argument. And people wonder why I need an editor... wait,...

Re: The Manila Tales –A Summer-ish Series

EDIT: Adjusting for the time period (which I presume is 2024)...I'm sure the list will change, but the hotels I mentioned would probably still stand ten years from now. Probably, but I'm used to dealing with Wyndham Resorts, so that's what I rolled with. They don't have one there now, but it could ...

Re: The Manila Tales –A Summer-ish Series

I gather it'll be just the Setous, the Nakais, and Soon-hee? Indeed. We're talking a total of eight characters in a resort suite as a result, and while having Lilly's family over would make sense, it would also complicate things, and if I put too many characters in a story people start grabbing the...

Re: The Manila Tales –A Summer-ish Series

Sorry dude, I still have to plow through at least half of your universe to know what's going on. So my review has to wait and would be probably as long as one of your stories. No worries; these things take time, after all :) Hanako on an Indian Chief or any vintage motorcycle at all? You sir, combi...
