Re: Emi inspired running/workout
I walk at 4mph, so 5 or more seems better for a sustained jog on a treadmill. Have you considered long walks or hiking? You don't need any expensive equipment, you don't have to just stare at the walls, fresh air, less impact than running or jogging on your joints. It's good as a regular thing too....

Re: Emi inspired running/workout
So, I'm going to a convention next week, and was planning on using the hotel's treadmill. I've never used one before, so if anyone had some advice to offer, that'd be great. Don't go mental on it xD You're better off building up speed on one than going straight for a fast speed. Seems like common s...

Because when you get people together with a similar interest in a niche field, they’re gonna have a good time. Even if the terrain is textbooks and cell phones. Re: The Manila Tales –A Summer-ish Series (Updated 7/31)
Historically, bastard was not an insult at all. It was mainly used for the illegitimate offspring of nobility, and some "bastards" were even proud of their heritage were allowed to use their fathers' colours (with a small addition to signify their illegitimacy) and could even inherit if there were ...

life had been hard for my parents and s[/s] me . The English language hurts my head. Is it too late to move to Quebec (I do like bacon). It's also traditionally a much harsher insult in Germany than the States Hmm... Is it? I've always considered it pretty mild as insults go. Modern usage certainly...

Re: Meet the Hakamichis –A USM Summer Series Updated 7/28
Hisao and Misha rolled a three, while Lynda managed a four. Misha and Hisao rolled off to break their tie, resulting in a five for Hisao and a four for Misha. Thus, the order of players was chosen: Hisao, Lynda, Misha, Shizune. That's still not how it works. Lynda won the roll, so no matter what Hi...

Re: Meet the Hakamichis –A USM Summer Series Updated 7/28

How is it fair to have the one who won the roll do another game to see if they really won? Fair point. Let's see if I can cajigger that a bit (because the fun thing about the...

[“Standard method to pick countries?”] ... [“I choose North America. Any objections?”] Uh... I hesitate to ask, but have you ever played Risk? Yes, though it has been a long, long time. And the people I played with were usually stoned. Hisao and Misha rolled a three, while Lynda managed a four. Mis...
