Re: Hisao and Kenji- Master Detectives! Updated 9/29
Your patience in the current plot direction is appreciated, as is your feedback about how that direction is ruining the series. As I’ve said before, it is not permanent and will be rectified. I kinda need to finish this mystery first, though. Besides, I need some way to start doling out handwaves :w...

Re: Hisao and Kenji- Master Detectives! 9/25 Update
Your problem is that after doing a simple name substitution exercise nothing seems amiss in a whole lot of the writing. Replacing "Bob" for "Kenji", "Frank" for "Hisao", and so on and so forth, works perfectly well a lot of the time. I was afraid of that. I wanted to make the plot pertinent to KS a...

I wish I could be a great writer on my own, but apparently the only thing I'm good at is... making people laugh. Oh, and I make good muffins.

Re: Hisao and Kenji- Master Detectives! 9/25 Update
We fight and we win, cuz dat’s what orks do! WAAAAGGGHHH! (This is what happens when writers are unemployed or unpaid, folks. Take heed of my warning. And pass the want ads when you’re done with them, if you could.) Previous Chapter Part Three: Infiltration The plan had two serious problems with it,...

Re: Hisao and Kenji- Master Detectives! 9/25 Update
Well, if you don't mind doing a bit more writing on it, adding maybe a short case or two between you're already written chapters would make it feel like they weren't just constantly doing commando runs. They don't even have to be super interesting cases, just character based stuff. You could spend ...

Re: Hisao and Kenji- Master Detectives! 9/25 Update
You know, looking back on my earlier work, I think my emphasis on the action has degraded the overall quality of my writing. This I will agree with 100%. I am working to correct this, though monotony might occur anyway. One of the reasons I wrote this was because I was bored; posting it was a resul...

Wiki’s are your friends. If you’re a writer, at least. Previous Chapter Part Two: Allies I expected Peter Weyland to be hard to contact, especially on short notice, and especially through a webcam. Somehow, Kenji had pulled it off, and we were looking at the image of the man through a screen on Kenj...

...Apparently it is possible to use "stroke" in this context. I just never encountered it before. As a historian, I'm often exposed to more archaic linguistic patterns, some of which I like to use in my writing (although I had a boss that was desperately trying to bring back "groovy".) Miya was a s...

Crap, I think I've missed the last 3 of 4 updates because I haven't had time to read them (partially your fault) I remain unrepentant, but do apologize for the inconvience. Unfortunately, I've had too much going on to read for pleasure (again, partially your fault) You love it and you know it (some...

There are those that believe that writing here, began out there. That this forum’s fan fiction writing is the precursor to the Mayans, or the Toltecs. Some believe there may yet be writers of fan fiction, who even now fight so survive, somewhere beyond the heavens… Mystery Six: The Final Showdown? P...

Re: The Kenji Files; Ibarazaki and Setou(Updated 09/17)
I had to Google 'Exterminatus', and I still don't quite understand. (Puts on nerd hat, starts playing Sabaton power metal) Ahem: Exterminatus is the obliteration of a world's entire population through some form of weapon used from orbit or nearby space. It is the most extreme method of dealing with...

Welcome back, glad you were able to fend off that zombie horde in time to save the coffee supply
Nothing good ever comes from creepy forests with foreboding mists. Ever.
I'd suggest Exterminatus, but that might be a tad conspicuous.
