Re: Putting it in perspective
Slightly different perspective: When I came to the project I was at the height of my "music production" period of my life (as an engineer, mind you. I don't play). I saw the project as a cool place to maybe make a differnce, and use some of the gear that I had bought to date. I also thought that it ...

Re: Question for the Devs regarding Donations
I'll have to admit, I do get a little jaded at charities. The last "Charity" fundraising event that I worked on had a pricetag in excess of AU$300k. It raised a total of AU$500k (gross). I'll leave you to do the maths... Jadedness aside, I now also realise that those events do increase public awaren...

Re: Musing on my Muse
To be honest, I'm a bit like Buffalo Bill from "Silence of the Lambs"; I covet what I say. Or, in this case, hear. After a hard drive failure a few years ago, my playlist is only about 5500 strong. Of the things I listen to most of the time I would probably (embarissingly) say that there is Classica...

Re: Musing on my Muse
I think you're reading that wrong. What part of a 5-year development cycle makes you think that there were any deadlines involved? (Well, actually Itried a number of times to put deadlines in place but that never worked). If you've never experienced that rush you get from being creative then I sugge...

Tea for Two
Tea has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. It's just part of my family ritual. Tea at breakfast, tea after dinner... we even stop every movie about half-way through to make some tea. I think that might have more to do with the narcolepsy that seems to curse my family, but anyway, ...

Even being involved in the development process didn't save me from a manly picnic.

Re: Musing on my Muse
I suppose you are right, but people have found me before. I got DDoS'd once. Didn't realise that much until I got $3k bill... I've been on the internet too long and left too much of a mark to be overly anonymous. Plus, you only have to look at how they tracked the Sydney Neck-Bomber guy down to know...

Musing on my Muse
Hi all. It's been a while. Normally, I would start a post/story like this by explaining my motivation. However, in this instance, the explaination is a little autotelic and circular, so I will leave it to the story. i would, however, like to mention that this is kind of a fan non-fiction, in that I ...

Re: Development question.
I have one question, when this is all finished, the game is released, regardless of whether people like it or not (although I am sure we will) will you look back on the last 4 years and say to yourself "This was worth it." ? Having long since bailed on the project I can say that it has had some deg...

Re: Visual Novels Illegal?
Whilst not a lawyer Ihave a) not read past hte frist page of this thread and b) looked into this a bit. I can only speak for Australian and US law, so sorry to everyone else. In Australia and the US there have been examples of charges laid against people for "lolikon", however it doesn't stick that ...

All of these things happen with artists. They are not like normal humans with standard sensibilities and imaginations.

Agreed with Suriko.
Please don't believethe hype. Whilst the Fukushima plant isn't in the greatest state, it's certainly not overly threatening (at least not in a radiological sense).

Re: Question for the Devs regarding Donations
I would say something that would help anyone that's been involved in the last 6 months of worldwide disasters. There's a few to choose from... Children's Hospitals are good, but I've been tainted by some frivilous spending on behalf of Children's Hospital charities. With all of the varied disasters ...
