I'm reminded of (sane) Frank Miller after reading Mutuo's scene. Very dark, a unique method of inferring the situation. As said above, very noir.

I liked it. The downs helped the ups feel higher. Good stories have both ups and downs. Just one or the other makes for a boring or depressing story. There's a few fanfic writers that could do better to keep that in mind. Making the girl a Mary Sue tends to be a trope that turns me away from storie...

It's been almost a year since the release of HR and I still giggle like a little girl when I see a "I never asked for this" joke. :) But yeah, this fanfic has been a lot of fun to read and it is very well written as well! I think all the characters' reactions were portrayed very realistic...

You should have Hisao's love interest be subjected to the Cybermen. That would be an interesting dilemma, and possibly tragedy.
