Re: Yamaku Book Club (Meeting Update: Aug/Sep—Hanako)
The first version of Sisterhood was great and I'd highly recommend it. It really feels like a good strong continuation of the game. The revamped longer version ... not nearly as good. It lacks the sense of urgency and the story tends to ramble along and drift without any real direction. Hisao also t...

Re: Could you?...In real life?
Sorry. Yeah, that's what I meant if it wasn't clear enough. You might not make the same mistakes Hisao did but you'd certainly make your own mistakes. Another part everybody leaves out when they say they wouldn't mess up like Hisao did, is that they wouldn't necessarily successes where Hisao did eit...

Re: Could you?...In real life?
As much as I love Katawa Shoujo, I really like to think I wouldn't have been as honestly....stupid and thoughtless as Hisao in a lot of the scenarios throughout the game. I'm sure you'd be equally stupid and thoughtless in your own different way. As for the bit with Hanako being uncomfortable... wh...

Re: Swim Story [OC]
Just as I look to see if the sensei leading the demonstration is finished his speech, he shouts “Moto no ichi!” I move to the exact spot that I had somehow drifted away from and place my right hand on the tsuka of my katana, ready to draw. I watch as my opponent does that same. The sensei then tell...

Re: Yamaku Book Club (Meeting Update: August—Mutou)
I didn't get the whole Mutou fight club thing either. It just really didn't feel like the character to me.

Re: The Library Anniversarie Collection
Well, the distinction between "abandoned" and "ongoing" was a bit arbitrary, but in general we considered a story that hadn't been updated in 6 months abandoned with some notable exceptions for long going stories with known long update cycles. Whenever somebody says something like this, I feel like...

Mostly they look really cute, but Emi's hips seem far too wide.

Re: A One-Shot: 3rd Shot (8/4)
THere's nothing wrong with working off some random ideas once in a hie, but I think this one needed a bit more thought put into the details. Not knowing what Hanako's scoop was does affect the rest of the story.

Re: Saki meets Rika
Apparently there were comments here I missed until now. Honestly, most of the time I don't like either girl very much. They both tend to swim in pessimism and fatalism, making them very unenjoyable to me. This is one of the few Rikas I don't immediately dislike, so theres that. Saki's also not bad h...

The 80s pack! Come on, you know you want to see the girl in headbands, workout leotards, and neon clothes with feathery hair. I'm also picturing Misha looking like she walked right out of an episode of Jem.

Re: Bantamweights: A One-Shot
Having not read all though Developments, i can't comment on how well it goes along with that. By itself, though, it stands alone as a strong story, very bleak and depressing, but memorable. I think Iwanako comes across here worse than Hisao ever did in the game. It's an interesting way to look at he...
