Re: Dance Of The Delicate

Keep in mind, going to a dance and dancing aren't always the same thing. Some people might just use is as an excuse to dress up and socialize.

Re: New Flames- Chapter 1 (or: Introducing myself)

Here's a few thoughts so far. "A lot of times your characters will talk" "And they will talk" "And you do little to knowing to show us what character is talking or anything going on around them." While this isn't necessarily wrong, it's dull and can be confusing. Especially when you start adding mor...

Re: People-Watching: A Naomi Inoue Pseudo-Route

Keep in mind, Shizune at one point says you should always find out as much as you can before going to a place, even if it's the supper market. To paraphrase T. S. Eliot, I'm sure she always has an alibi and one or two to spare. Even if she doesn't expect to even need to use them. Besides, it's more ...

Themed prosthetics for children

I thought this might be of interest to some people here. http://www.independent.co.uk/life-style/health-and-families/health-news/prosthetic-hands-how-disney-teamed-up-with-a-bristol-based-bionics-firm-to-transform-childrens-lives-a6689176.html A prosthetic designer has teamed up with Disney to creat...

Re: People-Watching: A Naomi Inoue Pseudo-Route

I'm with Mirage about the confession seeming a bit weak. One thing I think that may have affected it is how you did a lot of the earlier dialogue between them as JUST the dialogue and nothing else. You don't mention expressions, actions, tone of voice, how they're thinking or anything like that, and...

Re: Fanfiction: KS: Rumbling Hearts (Post Hanako Bad Ending)

It's a shame this ended on a cliffhanger like it did, or rather got abandoned on a cliffhanger. It's the kind of soul crushing yet still realistic dark you don't see too often around here. I think the story went a bit heavy on Japanese terminology at times and despite being ten years later, the char...

Re: People-Watching: A Naomi Inoue Pseudo-Route

Yeah. That sounds right. That's probably what i did. Especially since he's featured in the CG of the art club. Yes. This is not the first fanfiction to acknowledge other medical staff either, but it happens all too rarely. Right up there with having teachers that aren't Mutou and occasionally Miyagi.

Re: People-Watching: A Naomi Inoue Pseudo-Route

Well yeah, Yamaku does have a nursing staff so it's hard for me to imagine just the one guy tending to every student all the time.
I do remember in one of the routes Hisao mentions a female nurse.

Re: Dance Of The Delicate

I doubt Yamaku would use strobe lights, and I don't even know why narcolepsy could possibly keep Suzu from participating...
Let me clarify this. Suzu has narcolepsy. Narcolepsy does not mean she randomly passes out with no warning. That's more of a fandom joke that's taken a life of it's own.

Re: People-Watching: A Naomi Inoue Pseudo-Route

(I don't think he was ever named in the VN itself, was he?)
He is mentioned once in the game by Hisao (I forget where) Apparently Hisao doesn't like the guy.

Re: People-Watching: A Naomi Inoue Pseudo-Route

Seeing Naomi's complete lack of impulse control bounce of Hisao's need to play things close to the chest and over think everything has been fun, but I just know there's going to be some major conflict caused by it eventually. I also like Natsume's attitude. In a way it feels a bit like Hisao, except...

Re: Black and white (updated 10/18/16)

This is an interesting take on things. I actually expected Hanako to blow up before Hisao did. She seems like she's holding back so much and trying so hard that it's only a matter of time. I really didn't think Hisao had it in him. He just felt more like he was slowling breaking dwon rather than abo...

Re: 'Rite of passage' fanfics?

I'm trying to remember what the first psuedo route was. I want to say it was a Rika story but I'm not sure.

Also, I'd suggest that if you're going to read Sisterhood, read the original version. The expanded version looses quite a bit.

Re: Dance Of The Delicate

I am not familiar with the more intricate details of Japanese society and customs, so I did not use honorifics like “chan”, “san”, “sensei” etc. Good, because if you used them they'd be out of place. The game itself doesn't use them. I am very aware that my central story element, a mandatory school...
