Re: Hanako's Broken Heart Club

LunarKnite, and anybody else here, if there's one thing I'd reccommend to cut your gaming down to a healthier size then it's to stop playing online games . All of them. Seriously. Most online games don' t have a story or anything of deep interest, and are built to keep you coming over and over again...

Re: Braving the Storm [Misha/Shizune] (finished!)

Technically your hatred of Misha's mother is unfounded; she didn't come back because Misha's father had money, she came back because she literally would not be able to support herself and Misha otherwise. She didn't report him to the authorities earlier because he had the power to silence her by ab...

BlackWaltz, first of all, great fanfic, I enjoy it. Plenty of original characters, and they "rock"! Now, please forgive me as I pester you with my Japanese Culture quibble: Did the gun incident take place outside of Japan? Inside of Japan guns are exceedingly rare and hard to get, even for criminals...

Re: Braving the Storm [Misha/Shizune] (finished!)

And thank you for that story. You had me nearly in tears there. :) Still, I'm going to quibble about the Japanese funeral customs . In Japan, there's almost no burials. The family has to stay after cremation, and put the bones in the urn feet first with long chopsticks. Misha and Sizune would probab...

Re: Rika Story - updated 4/5/2012

If there's one thing I'm slowly starting to understand is that you need to talk to people in terms they understand, with words they are willing to listen to. You cannot change someone's cherished, strong beliefs that easily, by directly opposing them. On the contrary, you have to take a roundabout a...

Re: Hanako's Broken Heart Club

Danze, no worries. The only problem now is that I'm still hanging around these forums too much, I guess. :P But, I feel there's such a nice crowd here, so I like it. At least I'm being a little bit sociable. :) LunarKnite, thanks for your story. It's hard sometimes to figure out what you really want...

Re: Braving the Storm [Misha/Shizune]

Yes, I admt that I'm prone to write fanfics of fanfics. But if I do so I'll start another thread, and ask permission to do so. I decided not to do so since after doing some research into crime in Japan, I'm don't have the heart to do so anymore. After reviewing the Japanese judicial system more, wit...

Re: Hanako's Broken Heart Club

Yeah, I also had that a happen to me, but in a sense it can be good since it gives me time to rethink what I'm going to write and express it more concisely.
And don't worry, there's no minimum level of sadness required to post in this thread. Just a little bit of courage. :)

Guest Poster, what can I say? You keep hitting the nail squarely on the head. In any relationship, it's a losing idea to want and try to "fix" the other person, it's a form of benevolent arrogance. It's OK to want to support the other person, and it's OK to worry about the other's problems. But you ...

Japanese culture tips for fanfiction writers

I'd like to add to this thread a few tips on Japanese culture by adding a few links and paragraphs of information that may be useful: Japanese etiquette: http://www.japan-guide.com/e/e622.html Japanese language and japanese names: http://www.csse.monash.edu.au/~jwb/cgi-bin/wwwjdic.cgi?1C For Japanes...

Re: Braving the Storm [Misha/Shizune]

Oh, and I have a Japanese law and culture quibble. You see, "psychological" damage is of no meaning in Japanese law. Check out the Japanese penal code It's quite an interesting read (I love to read laws) It's very easy to understand. The relevant articles for your story are: Article 204. (Injury) A ...

Re: Braving the Storm [Misha/Shizune]

At frirst I wan't feeling this tory, but I'm starting to like it more and more. The last part could maybe be changed a bit to make it even more clear that Mishia didn't win on skill but that Jigoro lost because he lost his temper. For the rest, no complaints, keep at it! :)

Re: The Blind Leading The Blind

Hey, I've been enjoying this story a lot, although the pace is rather slow. But then again, the wealth in details does make it easier to follow the train of thought of Naofumi; It's almost like you're going "stream of consciousness" here, which is very interesting! Also, there ware a few places wher...
