I've never really thought of Iwanako really being similar to Hanako in any way, but the change to her appearance was a nice touch overall. I have no love or hate for Mendacium, but the impact it's had on everybody has been rather... evident.

Great writing as always, though I prefer the presumed good ending for what might be an obvious reason. The other ending gave me an all-too-familiar sense of foreboding.

Maybe it has something to do with that thing that delta tweeted way back when oh I can't remember.

Dafuq? This part of course, was not present when I last read the Hanako series. I can't say I'm too much of a fan of this part. The ending seemed perfect right after the wedding, and doing an epilogue is understandable, but using it to suddenly throw angst into the mix seemed like a kick in the ball...

Oh, so you're that guy. Someone had posted the Hanako fic in its entirety way back when, and I never did find out who the author was.

Definitely worth a reread.

Ugh, another nicely-written, heartwrenching story. Well done.

Only one complaint, being that the final line feels like a needless kick to the balls, crushing any and all hope. I know it was probably intended, but man, that hurt.
