Re: Yamaku Book Club
Yeah. Early in the story, I get the impression that this could have been an original, if not somewhat cliche work. I thought that the quick exposition on Yamaku's fate after the technological revolution was pretty neat; it was a somewhat logical if not unlikely conclusion. The Hisao tragedy was a bi...

Re: Disheveled [Ch. 2, 3/5]
Great work with the back and forth banter; definitely seems to be one of your fortes. And I'm all for lesbians, but Natsume's fears are very realistic. Risking your friendship for a potentially controversial relationship is kind of a Big Deal TM . Can't figure out how to do superscripts on this thin...

Re: Yamaku Book Club
Ouch, I didn't realize the reading period and discussion period overlapped. My reading comprehension betrays me once again.
I remember this one vaguely, but I'll have to give it a reread.

Re: Developments (Post-Lilly Neutral End) - Chapter 35 up 3/
I figured that both girls are following their natural progression from their last respective PoV chapters.
Emi is following her downward spiral pattern, and Hanako opened up to Hisao more, which I assume is what she resolved to do at the end of the last chapter.

Re: Yamaku Book Club
Just a detail I got stuck on that got me thinking. The intersection of leylines beneath Yamaku serves to foster the development of latent magical potential. Nurse doesn't really specify whether the school was built there for that very purpose, or if it was just a big coincidence. In which case, is t...

Re: Yamaku Book Club
Ah, where to begin? I'm a little short on time right now, so I'll just touch on just a bit of the story for now. The magical setting seems to be the obvious place to start. All in all, I like how methodical and sciency the explanations for the various schools of magic were. I'm a fan of books series...

Re: Yamaku Book Club
This forum is not exactly a chatroom. A discussion should probably last at least as long as the time that was dedicated to reading the story in the first place, if not more. The longer the story, the more there is to discuss, after all. Even more so if the author is able to contribute additional ins...

Re: Yamaku Book Club
Well, the story is not particularly long, but I'm sure that not everyone has the free time to read it all at once, so I personally think a week is fine.

I figured that it was because Haruhiko was in himself a joke/cameo character.

Re: Kagami Pseudo-Route [Anniversary Oneshot Added 2/24]
I admit that at first, I kind of glazed over this one since I generally don't like amnesia as a plot device. Sorry. But just on a whim I gave the anniversary one-shot a shot and I have to say, I'm glad I did. As someone who has only skimmed a chapter or two or this, reading a bit from an amnesiac's ...

Re: Iwanako: Mean Time to Breakdown {updated 2/23/2014}
Eh, I think any potential shock value from it turning into a yuri route would have been minimal anyway. It's not like it actually spoils anything.

Re: Yamaku Book Club
The entire deal is spread over only 9 pages, with minimal reader commentary, so getting from chapter to chapter wasn't terribly inconvenient. Now, if it were monster-sized like some of the other fics around here, well... Also, was there any specific idea as to what should fill this thread after the ...

Re: Yamaku Book Club
I've never liked the prospect of forcing a traditional "route" with Miki. It's not so much that a relationship with Hisao couldn't work, but that it'd be hard to develop any feasible conflict and resolution that would make it interesting. The whole point being to entertain the readership, after all....

Re: Developments (Post-Lilly Neutral End) - Chapter 34 up 2/
I disagree with the assertion that "it would all be for nothing" if Hisao wound up with Lilly. All of the characters involved in this love trapezoid have had significant character growth, so everybody "wins" in the end - that was the case even when it was just Hanako and Emi we had to worry about. G...
