Sengoku Rance is less a dating sim and more a "Conquer Japan for its women" sim. Comparing that to Katawa Shoujo is just plain silly.Palas wrote:That's probably the euphemism for Dating Sim I adore the most.encrypted12345 wrote:VN/RPG hybrid

Re: Nurse-kun's story (Damaged Goods)
I wonder why nobody mentioned "Scarred" yet? It's a Damaged Goods story transcribed into a kind of visual novel. Not finished, no sprites, no plot choices whatsoever, and terminally on hiatus since 2008, but I always wondered how much Devs were inspired by this effort. Maybe even Raita read it befo...

Re: Most Physically Attractive Girl
Absolutely nothing. 8) I do admit that Shizune's Figures: Bust/Waist/Hips: 88/52/85 Are very appealing to me, not to mention Dark hair, in a short cropped hair style, with Glasses and Blue eyes. Throw in Zettai Ryouiki and I'm sold. All that appeals to me as well. It helps that I am a breast man. :...

Re: Does Rin have Asperger Syndrome?
Is asperger, a physical brain disorder, a chemical one or is it just another giant pile of BS that psychs use to label anyone who won't be 'normal?' Many people are afraid of people with actual personality quirks, so they label them. (actually asking, not a fan of most modern medicine) It concerns ...

Re: Why the hate for Shizune ??
Hey, I get the feeling that a lot of people here are misinterpreting something about Shizune and Lilly's fighting and are making a mountain out of a mole hill. It's nothing but a childish spat. Sure they seem to hate each other's guts, but it's really just a childish spat. I fight like that with my ...

Re: Why the hate for Shizune ??
Considering Shizune's character, it's not surprising that her fanbase is a bit militant.Palas wrote:Gotta love the Shizune Taliban
Jokes aside, they are just fighting back the hate. I'll ... um... just observe for a while.

Re: Gamefaq's KS Critique
i wonder is the review based off ks being a VN or a video game ?? ( cause as a game there isn't much in the way of interaction ) No. The main problem is that he's comparing a romance VN to an action/drama VN. He just was expecting the wrong genre. Because this VN is obviously a psychological horror...

Re: Nurse-kun's story (Damaged Goods)
In my opinion, it doesn't really matter overly. I'd like to think of it as true, because it makes me feel better about the world, and maybe inspires me a little bit to do better things. Whether it is true or not doesn't really make so much difference to me - the point is that it might be. Yeah, I c...

I know that, but ... I did Shizune's bad ending and both of the not-good Rin endings... and I honestly can't force myself to do more!!newnar wrote:All I can say is: Without playing through the bad/neutral endings, you are only getting half of what the arc offers.

Re: Valid points that I do not understand
So my first impressions was that: What is this? Never ending wall of text that does not add anything to the story, most of the writing seems to be composed of irrelevant chit-chat that keeps the story at an unsatisfying standstill. It could have been shortened down to maybe half and that would stil...

Yeah, I can testify to that. Did two bad endings in a row, need three more, and haven't the heart to do so.Mysterious Stranger wrote: Also, if you get all the good endings first, then you're going to have a streak of horribly depressing bad ones to play through. That's not very healthy, wouldn't you say?

Re: Why the hate for Shizune ??
Hmm... Maybe it's because I'm ISFJ and maybe because she reminds me of my cousin, but I really wouldn't mind a relationship with that type of person. It'll be annoying at times, but at the same time, it'll be fun. Shizune's definitely a good-hearted person. I could tell that from her Act one ending ...

Re: Why the hate for Shizune ??
While Shizune was my least favorite route (Mostly because her route was a bit too slice of life for me. Still enjoyed it though.), she's also closest to the type that I most envision a future long term relationship with. While I can see why people hate her bossiness, I honestly find her charismatic....

Re: KS de white-knighted me
The major problem is that while heavy emotional manipulation may work in the short-run, it will simply not work in the long run. At the same time though, a little manipulation is natural in long term relationships since both people in the relationship know each other intimately enough to manipulate ...
