Sorry to disappoint, but extras are just that - extras. Having every one of them fleshed out would go against their very purpose.

Judging from the filesize, you should have downloaded the Windows version of the game. In that case, you're not missing anything. It's impossible to say since you don't have file extensions on, but that file should be an executable - doubleclicking it should be enough to make it run.

Ehhh, the backgrounds pics set KS in at least three different continents at the same time. Teleportation would be more common than in sci-fi novels if you went by that.
