Re: My reading of Katawa Shoujo.

I never understood why people would watch videos of someone reading them a VN. When I watch a Let's Play, it's for one of the following reasons: a) It's a game I'm interested in but not enough to buy. b) It's a game I'm interested in but don't have the skills to play (for me that would be shooters, ...

Re: In What Order Did You Complete The Routes?

He got the second bad end of Rin's route. It doesn't have a neutral end.
One of the people who wrote walkthroughs started calling it "neutral" at one point, but the devs have always said it was a bad end.
Personally I think the second bad end of Rin's route is a lot worse than the first.

Re: Ask!

If this is the wrong place for this, I apologize, but how is Emi's route? I'm trying to finish all the good routes. (Seriously tho, I feel guilt at abandoning Hanako.) It probably is the wrong place to ask this. That thread is for asking the devs question about the game. As for Emi's route, persona...

Re: One Little Day and A Call to Yamaku

It's also nice to know that all that research paid off-- I'm not actually a doctor / nurse / paramedic /medical professional, so I relied heavily on Google, Wikipedia, a whole bunch of Youtube videos, and so on to make sure everything was accurate. That's even more impressive then. Good job! Oh god...

Re: Fading Memories

Sure you can post pictures. May writers do. Regarding what I wrote last time on tenses: Most stories here are written in present tense. You're free to use past tense instead of course, but you should try to keep it consistent. As I woke up, I realized that this day was a weekend. It had been so chao...

Re: One Little Day and A Call to Yamaku

Very well written - and with lots of medical details, too. Over here we'd probably have gone right for the endotracheal tube if there had been someone qualified to insert it - or a larynx tube if there hadn't. One minor nitpick: Since the nurse was at the scene he probably would have been able to gi...

Re: Fading Memories

(From this point on, I'm writing in first person. Sorry for the shift, It just feels akward in third person) Good call. About 95% of all stories here are written that way. I was actually just going to call you out on that. It's not that you can't use 3rd person narration, but you've been using it i...

Re: Weird similarities

So, she looks different has another disability and different character traits, and about the only similarity is that she's shy? By those standards I think every single VN I read has a character that is similar to Hanako, because the Shrinking Violet is one of the most common stereotypes in VN and An...

Re: Fading Memories

I might just go with 1 or 2 routes though if it's too big. "Just" one or two routes, eh? Quite the optimist :-) Tell me if any of their characterizations is bad, offensive or otherwise bothering you, and I'll change it. This is only for students so far, I'll upload the teacher one later. I have not...

Re: Potental Variation?

Sure - that's what the fanfiction section is for after all.
We already have a fanfic with that topic here, though it was never finished. I think the author is also a writer for that VN I linked above.

Eh, if the anime is any indication, I wouldn't touch Grisaja with a three-meter pole :-)

Re: Potental Variation?

There's a VN like that in development over here:
https://somnovastudios.blogspot.de/

It's obviously been heavily inspired by KS, but I haven't been keeping up on their progress.

At a glance it seems as if it's still going forward right now, but no recent progress updates.

Re: Freaks and Friends

Well, she is in the girls dorm, doesn't really care who sees her cause she's got nothing to hide, and although it's not clear from the story, in my head, I only pictured her going down a few doors, probably to the bathrooms or something. I've scene people do weirder things living in dorms. Thing is...

Re: The Akira-te Kid - An Akira Satou Fan Route

This current chapter reaffirms my first impression that you don't have to belittle yourself in comparison to the other Akira route. I think you nailed Akira's character exactly, and both your dialogue and narration are already more entertaining to read than most other stuff here. One major problem I...
